India's para-badminton athletes experienced mixed results at the Paris Paralympics. Manisha Ramadass advanced to the quarterfinals despite losing to China's Xia Qiu Yang in her group stage. NEW DELHI: The Paris Paralympics have been an emotional journey for India's para-badminton players. Manisha Ramadass faced a formidable challenge in the women's singles SU5 Group Stage C against China's Xia Qiu Yang. Despite a determined effort, Manisha was defeated in straight games, with scores of 15-21, 7-21.
However, her strong performance in the earlier group stage matches was sufficient to secure her a place in the quarterfinals.

As the second-place finisher in her group, Manisha will now focus on regrouping and bringing her best performance to the upcoming rounds.
Moving forward, the young Indian shuttler will concentrate on refining her tactics and overcoming the competition as she continues her pursuit of a Paralympic medal. Her success will be vital in keeping India's hopes alive in the badminton events.
Unfortunately, Tarun Dhillon's experience in the para-badminton men's singles SL4 group stage was less favorable. Tarun faced a formidable opponent in France's Lucas Mazur.
Despite his best efforts, Tarun was unable to overcome the skilled Frenchman, losing the match 0-2. This result was insufficient for Tarun to progress further in the tournament, bringing his Paralympic journey to an end.
As the Paris Paralympics progress, all eyes will be on Manisha Ramadass as she represents India's hopes in the badminton competition. Her performance in the quarterfinals and beyond will be crucial in determining the success of India's para-badminton campaign.
