The bout, which has engaged the fans most is the Undisputed WWE title match between Cody Rhodes and Solo Sikoa. Rhodes has been fighting The Bloodline for over one and half years now. But where did it all begin in the first place between Rhodes and Solo? How are the odds stacked for both the competitors? These are the few questions that are waiting to be answered.

After Cody defeated Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Championship at Wrestlemania XL, even though odds were heavily against him, Roman Reigns has gone on a hiatus, and his comeback is yet unknown. In his absence, Solo has changed the whole face of the Bloodline and has recruited new members like Tama Tonga ,Tanga Loa and Jacob Fatu. He even calls himself the new ‘Tribal Chief’. After colliding and defeating Randy Orton and Kevin Owens, Solo had his eyes set on Rhodes. At the end of the ‘Clash at the Castle’ PLE, after Rhodes successfully defended his title against AJ Styles, the Bloodline 2.0 attacked Cody in the leadership of Sikoa. Following that, the trio of Rhodes, Randy Orton and Owens was defeated comprehensively by the Bloodline, at Money in the Bank, thanks majorly to its newest member, the deadly Jacob Fatu. The emergence of the Werewolf has tilted the balance massively in Bloodline’s favor against all the odds.

Just Prior to Money in the bank, Solo had announced that he was going to capture the WWE championship from Rhodes and bring it back to the Bloodline. He not only challenged Rhodes, but also mocked Reigns for not being able to keep the title in the Bloodline. Not the one to hide from a challenge, Cody accepted Solo’s challenge for the Undisputed WWE Championship and the match was finalized at SummerSlam. The last few weeks, Solo and his associates have continuously annihilated Cody and his friends Orton and Ovens, on SmackDown. So it is clear that Cody might be on his own to defend his Championship against Solo and his ever-present recruits. Moreover, Solo’s confidence is sky high after he pinned Rhodes at Money in the Bank, to win the match.

Speculations and rumors are rife that Roman Reigns may return to avenge his brother Jimmy Uso’s and Wiseman Paul Heyman’s beatdown at the hands of the new members of Bloodline. If indeed it's true, it might aid Rhodes to retain his title, otherwise there are dark clouds over his Championship reign. Also, there are reports from credible sources that another member may join the Samoan faction(Hikuleo) which will pile on the misery for Rhodes, going into SummerSlam. Will Cody defy the odds again? like he did at Wrestlemania, or will Solo prove his words and promises true? Only time will tell.
