Tracy Maese

Col. Tracy Ann Maese, a Marine Corps manpower officer, most recently served as the chief of staff for the Marine detachment at the United States Naval Academy. Her service includes two tours as a company commander and subsequently, in command of Support Battalion, Recruit Training Regiment, Marine Corps Recruit Depot, San Diego.

Her staff assignments include adjutant and legal officer for Marine Aircraft Group 26; Marine Corps Forces Central Command and Camp Lemonier, Djibouti; Combat Service Support Group 3; Marine Corps Base Hawaii; current operations officer, Wounded Warrior Regiment; and executive officer for Headquarters Battalion, Marine Corps Base Hawaii and Support Battalion, Recruit Training Regiment, Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego. She served on strategic-level as a strategic economist, Multi-National Force – Iraq; company grade assignments monitor and deputy lieutenant colonel assignments monitor, deputy commandant for Manpower and Reserve Affairs; staff secretary, deputy commandant for information; assistant chief of staff, G-1 for deputy commandant, combat development and integration. Her overseas deployments include Djibouti, Africa, and Iraq.

She earned her graduate degree from the United States Naval Academy, holds a master’s in military studies from the Marine Corps Command and Staff College, and completed a fellowship with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Seminar XXI Program.
