Perseverance in the Pursuit of Passion: My Journey with Mercedes-Benz🚀 Many years ago, I joined Mercedes Benz Malaysia under a dealership in Kedah, fueled by a dream to become a Mercedes Benz Product Expert. Armed with a promise encapsulated in an offer letter, I embarked on what I believed would be a transformative career path. However, life had other plans, and I found myself navigating the unexpected role of a sales position instead. Despite the divergence from my initial goal, my aspiration didn’t wane—I patiently waited for the opportunity to rise. Unfortunately, I discovered that my name had never been forwarded for the necessary certification training, a realization that deeply saddened me. With a heavy heart, I made the difficult decision to leave Mercedes-Benz and explore new opportunities with Porsche. This transition, however, only reaffirmed my passion for Mercedes Benz—the brand was ingrained in me. Realizing that my heart belongs with the three-pointed star, now i’m waiting with renewed vigor to pursue the dream that never left me. 💼 Diving into the world of corporate strategy! For the third assignment in my AcceleratiON Program at BMW Group, I had the privilege of working in the corporate strategy department for six months. The first three months were dedicated to the strategic market prognosis team, where I gained invaluable insights into the automotive industry, key competitors and data-driven market and price forecasting. For the second three months, I joined the market research team, developing a deeper understanding of used car customers and BMW’s customer segmentation strategies. Beyond that, I also spent a week in the HR Strategy and employee experience department, which helped me to gain a broader perspective on the company's people-centric initiatives. During another week-long visit to the dealership in Bremen, I further deepened my understanding of this side of the company's business and the needs of our clients. It's been a whole year at Martins of Basingstoke Volkswagen, and time has flown by. What an incredible year it's been – filled with learning experiences, occasional mistakes, constant improvement, and meeting some truly amazing individuals. Fortunately, the brand's strong loyalty makes convincing customers to choose a Volkswagen a relatively smooth process. The most rewarding aspect of this job is the shared stories with our customers, making each day at work far from dull. Witnessing the joy on people's faces as they drive away in their new vehicles never loses its charm. Moreover, addressing customer concerns and identifying areas where we can enhance our services is an integral part of the job, ensuring that we continuously strive for improvement. In the dynamic sales environment, it would be remiss not to share some numbers. To date, I've had the privilege selling 244 cars, including 99 new and 145 used. Each transaction represents a unique journey, and the process of learning from any missteps and ensuring they don't recur is fundamental to our collective growth.
