It's actually not that difficult, so let's get it straight once and for all! 🗑 Recycling is breaking down a product and producing a new one. ♻ Reuse is using the same product many times. And RE-ZIP is, of course, RE-USE ♻

“ DONT REFUSE TO REUSE!” Over packaging should stop!! Researcher/ Member Ecology Ministry Manila Archdiocese at Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Manila
“ Building recycling infrastructure to stop plastic before it reaches the ocean and reintroducing it into products and packaging is key to solving the ocean plastics problem. I’m particularly pleased that this program with Plastic Bank helps to address poverty and create a closed-loop supply chain at the same time.” Recycling helps but how about building Returnable packaging systems the priority ? Re-using will eventually lead to recycling. Example : a returnable glass bottle can replace up to 50 single use plastic or paper alternatives .Ask me how .

As an overseas Sales professional at Daisaku Japan, I innovate in plastic recycling to promote sustainability.
【Recycling Process of PE】 Recycling one ton of PE plastic saves about 1,000 gallons of oil, highlighting the significant environmental benefits! The recycling process of PE involves collection, sorting, washing, shredding, and reprocessing. Waste PE is collected and sorted by type, thoroughly washed to remove contaminants, and then shredded into small flakes. These flakes are melted and formed into pellets, which are then used as raw materials for new products, promoting a circular economy.

♻️ Behind the Bin: How Recycling Really Works 🌍 Many people don’t think twice after tossing an item into the recycling bin, but what really happens after that? This insightful video breaks down the entire recycling process, showing how discarded materials are transformed into new products, conserving precious resources and reducing waste. However, here’s a sobering fact: 60% of waste still isn’t recyclable. This underscores the need to rethink our consumption and waste habits. While recycling is crucial, reducing waste at the source is the real game-changer. Let this video be a reminder that sustainability starts with us, and every small action counts! 🔗 Watch it here: https://lnkd.in/eksAHqXX #Recycling #Sustainability #WasteReduction #CircularEconomy #EcoInnovation #EnvironmentalImpact #GreenFuture #HowItsRecycled

What are your thoughts on how the recycling industry will be transformed in the next 10 to 15 years ? Here is mine 👇🏻 Over the last few years the industry has shown tremendous growth over the last decade. In just two years between 2020 and 2022 it has seen a growth of more than 2 billion dollars ( Source : AMCS Group ) and is expected to grow to over 90 billion in the year 2032. With the growing global concerns on waste, sustainability and the continuous growth of the electronic industry, recycling has been seeing a large requirement. Simple industries that starts from segregation to complete recycling or reusing of products. The global sustainable material industry has also grown. And I believe that over the next few years both industry would be going hand in hand, with one replacing the mess and the other making better things.

There are many highlights from the latest The Recycling Partnership State of Recycling report in the US which analyses the household recycling volumes and rates for different materials. Two of the key ones are: ♻ There is still a massive commercial opportunity for recycling in America, if the correct regulation and incentives are put in place. 🔄 Recycling alone is not enough to close the current gap. Other Circular initiatives need to scale significantly to address the waste issue. Do take a look at the full report here: https://lnkd.in/ePgvC8jU

The Recycling Partnership produced a monumental report on the state of #packaging #recycling in the United States. #DYK that we lose over 75% of #valuable #recyclablematerials because consumers just do not #participate? It's not too late to make a 2024 resolution to #recycleright and #recycleoften. https://lnkd.in/et-aSXpP
