Today is My Whole Self Day, encouraging workplaces to celebrate and embrace our diverse identities and experiences. Mental Health First Aid England want organisations to empower employees to bring their whole self to work. That includes background, sexuality, religion, gender, health, and mental health. In 2024, we should feel safe to bring our whole selves to work, without fear of judgement or consequence. Our people and teams are at their most effective and creative when everybody feels psychologically safe and is seen, heard, and valued. When we feel like we belong, we build community and unlock creativity, productivity and innovation. By bringing together diversity and inclusion with health and wellbeing, we can drive positive transformation in workplace mental health and performance. Below is a bit about my whole self that you may or may not already know. I am grateful to work within a team that allows me to bring my whole self to work. Along with MHFA, I am dedicated to creating a positive workplace culture where everyone feels they belong and can be themselves, without fear of judgement or discrimination. #mywholeselfday2024 #mhfa #mentalhealthfirstaid #celebratediversity

#InclusionByDesign is key to belonging for neurodivergent people and All People! Had the pleasure of speaking at the British Safety Council and Being Well Together Wellbeing conference yesterday. Joined by the amazing Khushboo Patel, Richard Talbot hosted by Jigna Patel. We discussed the social model of disability and how workplaces can be more welcoming for neurodiverse individuals. Did you know that 1 in 16 neurodivergent adults are not in full-time work despite the incredibly valuable traits this group often has. Some key takeaways from the session include: ✅ Every neurodiverse individual presents differently. ✅ Listening and empathy are key to supporting neurodiverse people. ✅ Neurodiverse support in the workplace must be done on a individual case by case basis. ✅ Remember to support the symptoms, not the condition. Let's work together to make our workplaces more inclusive for everyone. #Neurodiversity #InclsuionMatters #WorkplaceWellbeing #SaferTogether #Belonging
