Hillary Clinton doing ‘virtual dinner’ on ZOOM for Joe Biden with hosts paying $100K
HILLARY Clinton will be having a "virtual dinner" on Zoom for Joe Biden with hosts paying $100,000.
The 2016 presidential candidate, who endorsed Biden for president last week, will host the virtual conversation with Democratic National Committee Chair Tom Perez later this month.
The pricey meeting - taking place on the Zoom conferencing app on May 19 between 6 and 7 pm PDT - will raise money for the Biden Victory Fund.
The 'Host' ticket level is the most expensive at $100,000 - but includes a private discussion.
Other ticket options are: Champion for $50,000; Supporter for $41,100; Friend for $15,600; Guest for $5,600; Attendee for $2,800.
However, anyone who is unable to attend the online meeting still has the opportunity to contribute to the fund as there is an option to donate an unspecified amount to the charity.
The joint fundraising committee is authorized by Joe Biden for President and the Democratic National Committee employee information.
Attendees will receive meeting IDs when the RSVP to the event.
The former secretary of state and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee announced her endorsement for Biden last week.
She made the announcement as a "special guest" at a Biden virtual town hall, discussing the impact that coronavirus has had on women.
In her endorsement, she told Biden: “I am thrilled to be part of your campaign... to not only endorse you but to help highlight a lot of the issues that are at stake in this presidential election.
“I’ve been in the lobby of the Senate. I’ve been in the cloakroom and I’ve watched Joe bring people together.
"We have a lot of the same values in common, the same work ethic, the same belief in America, the same focus on family.
"We need a leader, a president, like Joe Biden.”
Later this week, California Gov Gavin Newsom - who has not yet endorsed the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee - will host a fundraiser with Biden.
The invite reads: “This will be the kickoff event for the Biden Victory Fund and we are excited that California gets to take the lead.
“Please join us to support Vice President Biden and ensure we win back the White House in November!”
Political strategist David Plouffe will also be attending the virtual gathering on Friday, May 8.
