Filled with designer boutiques, quirky specialty shops and national retailers, there's no shortage of selection for shoppers in Miami, a city known for keen sense of style and luxury. For travelers, one of the most popular shopping destinations is Lincoln Road in South Beach. This pedestrian mall features dozens of art galleries, clothing and jewelry stores, as well as intermittent restaurants to satisfy the hunger pangs induced by heavy shopping. Further down the road on the beach is Collins Avenue, which is slightly less pedestrian friendly (the streets are not blocked off from traffic), but has arguably the best Urban Outfitters in the country, as well as Spanish imports Zara and Mango. High end merchants can be found in the Bal Harbour Shops and the Village at Merrick Park, which both feature everything from Gap to Gucci. The high-end community of Coral Gables is also known for its impressive list of merchants and picturesque sidewalk cafes along the Miracle Mile.

In downtown Miami, the Bayside Marketplace is the perfect outdoor shopping mall to scoop up chotchkies from dozens of local kiosks that sit in the midst of rows of national retailers. Bayside is perhaps the only mall where drinking while shopping is encouraged, and there is hardly a five-foot stretch without a bar or a scenic view of Biscayne Bay. For additional aquatic relaxation, visit The Falls, one of the largest open-air shopping complexes in the US, anchored by Bloomingdale's and Macy's. Over 90 stores are surrounded by a million-gallon lagoon with rushing falls.
