Bar Tulia Mercato

With already Osteria Tulia, Bar Tulia and The French Brasserie downtown Naples, Chef Vincenzo Batulia made the daring move to North Naples and Mercato shopping center with a spinoff of his popular Italian pub. The menu steals a bit here from downtown Tulia and the French, but then makes its own stand with dishes like fried deviled eggs, house-made ricotta and spinach ravioli and Spanish octopus bruschetta. The pizzas, if possible, got even better, thanks to the new Tulia's imported wood-fired oven. It boasts a spirit similarly vivacious to its downtown forebear, but with a different slightly industrial feel. Like Betulia's other three Naples restaurants, the Mercato edition carries on the ritual of composed craft cocktails that often twist the classics. Take the Tangerine Painkiller or Jamaican-style Manhattan with rye whiskey, for instance.
