Angelo's isn't fancy, but locals to the pizzeria, cheesesteak and hoagie shop will tell you they know how to do food right. Don't mind the wait if there is one, just know that when you do get your food, it'll be satisfying and delicious, complete with home-baked bread and rolls. The staff is known to be friendly, so remember this when you're waiting for your sandwich. Try pizza selections like The Pietro, a square pan pizza w/ mozzarella, ricotta, heirloom tomatoes, roasted red peppers, artichokes, arugula, topped w/ arugula pesto. Steak options will tempt your palate and include choices like pizza steak and chicken steak sandwiches in addition to the well-known cheesesteak. Hoagies are available as well - be sure to try the Moms, which includes prosciutto, roasted red peppers and sharp provolone; or the JYS with sliced turkey, prosciutto, sautéed spinach, roasted red peppers, sharp provolone, mozzarella cheese, red wine vinegar, oil, dry herbs. Basically, you can't go wrong with this casual Bella Vista eatery.
