Firefly Distillery

The Firefly Distillery is home to the country's original Sweet Tea Vodka, as well as several other flavored vodka varieties, specialty bourbons, wine, and rums. Situated just under 25 miles from downtown on Wadmalaw Island, the Firefly Distillery makes for a relaxing and enjoyable day trip for anyone interested in getting an authentic taste of Charleston. While Firefly does not offer full distillery tours, both groups and individuals may enjoy $6 tastings, including a branded tasting glass and samples of Firefly's many flavored vodkas. Skinny Tea, Lemon Tea, Peach Tea, Mint Tea, and Lemonade are among the favorite flavors. The Charleston Tea Plantation and Irvin House Vineyards are also located on Wadmalaw Island, and the historic Angel Oak tree is just a few miles away on John's Island.
