An old abandoned dock building in the London borough of Newham. In May 2012, 'create- Barbican' part of the Barbican art gallery complex won planning permission to use this beautiful old building as a temporary exhibition space. From 6 July- 5 August, they'll be kicking off the Ideas and Culture Olympiad, in one of London's Olympic boroughs, Newham, with an exhbition by the photographer, David Bailey. His exhbition 'Bailey's East End' will look at 50 years of London's East End, at significant moments in Bailey's career and the borough's history. Nearest station: Royal Albert DLR
