Crocker's Folly

This is another pub capitalizing on the Victorian theme, and it has done so with flair since 1898. The high ceiling with elaborate plasterwork and intricate painting is oddly reminiscent of a church. Billiards, chess and occasional live music keep things lively, and tables outside allow for al fresco socializing when weather permits. A cricket field nearby means lots of athletes and spectators show up here for a beer from the imposing mahogany bar. This pub is the loveliest and the most fun in London. TUBE: Edgeware
