Congratulations Silverstone you’ve added layers of complexity to a problem that didn’t exist! Just email us a pdf we can print and you can scan on entry ffs. We are competing at silverstone and get allocated tickets for friends and family. Usually my parents, who are in their eighties might come to a silverstone race as it’s not too far for them to travel. They won’t be coming now as they don’t have a smart phone or a tablet. This system is going to put so many people off visiting the circuit. The fact that you can’t print the tickets off is utterly ridiculous and why oh why do you need the date of birth and address of anyone who I might invite to come along? Forget zero stars I’d give it minus stars if I could.

Silverstone needs to get a grip and be reminded there are better and cheaper venues in Europe.

I too would like to see the GDPR risk assessments.

Okay, so the Silverstone Management don’t think our D.O.B isn’t important as they say then we’ll all just simply put in your date of birth to look like we’re 100 years old, then perhaps they might think again about asking for ridiculous amounts of information that serves no purpose at all.

It would appear no thought whatever has been taken to the loyal customers, similarly when they changed the Classic / Festival to a Bank Holiday weekend !! As if there weren’t enough cars on the roads at that time.

Last year was a disaster, it was clear to everyone except Silverstone that the numbers were well down on previous years and they still didn’t learn from that but posted porky’s that their numbers were up on previous years, just remember what the Porsche stand looked like, it was at least 60% down on entrants….!!

What a disgraceful arrangement should be a “ 0 Star “ rating, I’ve been asked for less information booking a holiday flight.

I’d love to see the GDPR assessment which details why it is necessary to have name, address, DoB, and phone number to be able to access a ticket. Hardly data minimisation by design. The only reason I can see it to be able to more effectively market to every attendee… something that a paper ticket never provided other than for the lead ticket holder!

Not looking forwards to the queues of people with flat batteries being denied access to grandstands. It might work at a concert when you are checked on entry at the start of the day but not every time you go to the loo or get food/drink or move grandstands.
