Beers family papers
Journal, military papers, and financial records relating to the American Revolution as kept by Nathan Beers, paymaster and clothier of a Connecticut regiment. Also in the collection is a bill issued to Isaac Beers, and an autograph album (1860) with the signatures of Jefferson Davis, James Buchanan, William H. Seward and others.
Samuel Benjamin papers
The papers consist of correspondence, diaries, poems, orders and receipts concerning Samuel Benjamin's service in the Massachusetts infantry during the Revolutionary War. Included also is a printed version of Benjamin's diaries (1778-1780) describing maneuvers around West Point, New York and the Yorktown campaign.
Georgii Eduardovich Berkhman papers
Typescript copies of documents relating to the battles between the Russians and Turks in Sarykamysh in Turkey, 1914-1915. Also included is a pamphlet (printed in 1934) with telegrams, letters and other documents relating to Georgii Berkhman's part in the campaign.

Walter A. Chapman papers
Letters and diary of Walter A. Chapman (1840-1865) describing his experience as a member of the 36th regiment, his participation in numerous battles (1862-1864), and the hardships of camp life due to shortages of food, clothing, and medicines. In 1864 he became lieutenant of a brigade of black troops and describes their conduct in a battle at Blakely, Alabama in April, 1865. The diary covers the period January, 1863 to March, 1864.
Harry William Cofrances papers
Correspondence, diary and memorabilia. Most of the correspondence relates to Cofrances' efforts in 1926 to win a scholarship offered by the Italy America Society. Also in the correspondence are two notes from Rudy Vallée. His army service in San Francisco (1942-1945) is documented by a diary and memorabilia.

The papers are chiefly military in nature, though there are some personal items. Included are letters to and from Gov. Return Jonathan Meigs, Stephen Gano, the noted clergyman and brother of J.S. Gano, and letters to General William Henry Harrison.
