Thyroid Eye Disease [TED] is a rare and often misunderstood condition that takes a huge toll on patients, including pain, disfigurement, emotional isolation, and severe vision impairment. As a result, there is a general sense of inevitability and hopelessness about a TED diagnosis. To break through that “silent acceptance,” we brought to life the metaphors patients use to describe their symptoms, helping us create a visually arresting and acutely relatable animated campaign depicting 6 different TED symptoms.
Results: 157,000 unique visitors to TreatTED.com, and sales exceeding $800 million—well more than 10x original estimates.
