In this Letter, a systematic study of the weak radiative hyperon decay $Ξ^{0}\toΛγ$ at an electron-positron collider using entangled $Ξ^{0}\barΞ^{0}$ pair events is presented. The absolute branching fraction for this decay has been measured for the first time, and is $\left(1.347 \pm 0.066_{\mathrm stat.}\pm0.054_{\mathrm syst.}\right)\times 10^{-3}$. The decay asymmetry parameter, which characterizes the effect of parity violation in the decay, is determined to be $-0.741 \pm 0.062_{\mathrm stat.}\pm 0.019_{\mathrm syst.}$. The obtained results are consistent with the world average values within the uncertainties, offering valuable insights into the underlying mechanism governing the weak radiative hyperon decays. The charge conjugation parity ($CP$) symmetries of branching fraction and decay asymmetry parameter in the decay are also studied. No statistically significant violation of charge conjugation parity symmetry is observed.

The study exploits a sample of quantum-correlated $D\bar{D}$ mesons collected by the BESIII experiment in $e^+e^-$ collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773~GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93~fb$^{-1}$. Here, $D$ denotes a neutral charm meson in a superposition of flavor eigenstates. The reported results are valuable for measurements of the $C\!P$-violating phase $γ$ (also denoted $φ_3$) in $B^\pm \to DK^\pm$, $D \to π^+π^-π^+π^-$ decays, and the binning schemes are designed to provide good statistical sensitivity to this parameter. The expected uncertainty on $γ$ arising from the precision of the strong-phase measurements, when applied to very large samples of $B$-meson decays, is around $1.5^\circ$ or $2^\circ$, depending on the binning scheme. The binned strong-phase parameters are combined to give a value of $F_+^{4π} = 0.746 \pm 0.010 \pm 0.004$ for the $C\!P$-even fraction of $D^0 \to π^+π^-π^+π^-$ decays, which is around 30\% more precise than the previous best measurement of this quantity.

Recent large language model (LLM) defenses have greatly improved models' ability to refuse harmful queries, even when adversarially attacked. However, LLM defenses are primarily evaluated against automated adversarial attacks in a single turn of conversation, an insufficient threat model for real-world malicious use. We demonstrate that multi-turn human jailbreaks uncover significant vulnerabilities, exceeding 70% attack success rate (ASR) on HarmBench against defenses that report single-digit ASRs with automated single-turn attacks. Human jailbreaks also reveal vulnerabilities in machine unlearning defenses, successfully recovering dual-use biosecurity knowledge from unlearned models. We compile these results into Multi-Turn Human Jailbreaks (MHJ), a dataset of 2,912 prompts across 537 multi-turn jailbreaks. We publicly release MHJ alongside a compendium of jailbreak tactics developed across dozens of commercial red teaming engagements, supporting research towards stronger LLM defenses.

Cognition refers to the function of information perception and processing, which is the fundamental psychological essence of human beings. It is responsible for reasoning and decision-making, while its evaluation is significant for the aviation domain in mitigating potential safety risks. Existing studies tend to use varied methods for cognitive state evaluation yet have limitations in timeliness, generalisation, and interpretability. Accordingly, this study adopts brain functional connectivity with electroencephalography signals to capture associations in brain regions across multiple subjects for evaluating real-time cognitive states. Specifically, a virtual reality-based flight platform is constructed with multi-screen embedded. Three distinctive cognitive tasks are designed and each has three degrees of difficulty. Thirty subjects are acquired for analysis and evaluation. The results are interpreted through different perspectives, including inner-subject and cross-subject for task-wise and gender-wise underlying brain functional connectivity. Additionally, this study incorporates questionnaire-based, task performance-based, and physiological measure-based approaches to fairly label the trials. A multi-class cognitive state evaluation is further conducted with the active brain connections. Benchmarking results demonstrate that the identified brain regions have considerable influences in cognition, with a multi-class accuracy rate of 95.83% surpassing existing studies. The derived findings bring significance to understanding the dynamic relationships among human brain functional regions, cross-subject cognitive behaviours, and decision-making, which have promising practical application values.

In this study, we present MedS-Bench, a comprehensive benchmark designed to evaluate the performance of large language models (LLMs) in clinical contexts. Unlike existing benchmarks that focus on multiple-choice question answering, MedS-Bench spans 11 high-level clinical tasks, including clinical report summarization, treatment recommendations, diagnosis, named entity recognition, and medical concept explanation, among others. We evaluated six leading LLMs, e.g., MEDITRON, Mistral, InternLM 2, Llama 3, GPT-4, and Claude-3.5 using few-shot prompting, and found that even the most sophisticated models struggle with these complex tasks. To address these limitations, we developed MedS-Ins, a large-scale instruction tuning dataset for medicine. MedS-Ins comprises 58 medically oriented language corpora, totaling 13.5 million samples across 122 tasks. To demonstrate the dataset's utility, we conducted a proof-of-concept experiment by performing instruction tuning on a lightweight, open-source medical language model. The resulting model, MMedIns-Llama 3, significantly outperformed existing models across nearly all clinical tasks. To promote further advancements in the application of LLMs to clinical challenges, we have made the MedS-Ins dataset fully accessible and invite the research community to contribute to its expansion.Additionally, we have launched a dynamic leaderboard for MedS-Bench, which we plan to regularly update the test set to track progress and enhance the adaptation of general LLMs to the medical domain. The Feistel Boomerang Connectivity Table ($\rm{FBCT}$), which is the Feistel version of the Boomerang Connectivity Table ($\rm{BCT}$), plays a vital role in analyzing block ciphers' ability to withstand strong attacks, such as boomerang attacks. However, as of now, only four classes of power functions are known to have explicit values for all entries in their $\rm{FBCT}$. In this paper, we focus on studying the FBCT of the power function $F(x)=x^{2^{n-2}-1}$ over $\mathbb{F}_{2^n}$, where $n$ is a positive integer. Through certain refined manipulations to solve specific equations over $\mathbb{F}_{2^n}$ and employing binary Kloosterman sums, we determine explicit values for all entries in the $\rm{FBCT}$ of $F(x)$ and further analyze its Feistel boomerang spectrum. Finally, we demonstrate that this power function exhibits the lowest Feistel boomerang uniformity.

This paper is concerned with a class of linear-quadratic stochastic large-population problems with partial information, where the individual agent only has access to a noisy observation process related to the state. The dynamics of each agent follows a linear stochastic differential equation driven by individual noise, and all agents are coupled together via the control average term. Using the mean-field game approach and the backward separation principle with a state decomposition technique, the decentralized optimal control can be obtained in the open-loop form through a forward-backward stochastic differential equation with the conditional expectation. The optimal filtering equation is also provided. By the decoupling method, the decentralized optimal control can also be further presented as the feedback of state filtering via the Riccati equation. The explicit solution of the control average limit is given, and the consistency condition system is discussed. Moreover, the related $\varepsilon$-Nash equilibrium property is verified. To illustrate the good performance of theoretical results, an example in finance is studied.

GuessWhich is an engaging visual dialogue game that involves interaction between a Questioner Bot (QBot) and an Answer Bot (ABot) in the context of image-guessing. In this game, QBot's objective is to locate a concealed image solely through a series of visually related questions posed to ABot. However, effectively modeling visually related reasoning in QBot's decision-making process poses a significant challenge. Current approaches either lack visual information or rely on a single real image sampled at each round as decoding context, both of which are inadequate for visual reasoning. To address this limitation, we propose a novel approach that focuses on visually related reasoning through the use of a mental model of the undisclosed image. Within this framework, QBot learns to represent mental imagery, enabling robust visual reasoning by tracking the dialogue state. The dialogue state comprises a collection of representations of mental imagery, as well as representations of the entities involved in the conversation. At each round, QBot engages in visually related reasoning using the dialogue state to construct an internal representation, generate relevant questions, and update both the dialogue state and internal representation upon receiving an answer. Our experimental results on the VisDial datasets (v0.5, 0.9, and 1.0) demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed model, as it achieves new state-of-the-art performance across all metrics and datasets, surpassing previous state-of-the-art models. Codes and datasets from our experiments are freely available at \href{https://github.com/xubuvd/GuessWhich}.

We present an all-fiber, fully open Fabry-Perot interferometer (FPI) cavity that is suitable for fluidic measurement applications. Fabrication of the FPI involves the alignment and bonding of three optical fiber sections using either ceramic glue or low-temperature melting glass. The fabrication procedure allows the protection of the cleaved optical fiber end faces, which serve as the two mirrors of the FPI, from damage, thus ensuring the high visibility of the FPI sensor. The FPI's complete openness permits the analyte of interest fluids to flow smoothly into the cavity and interact directly with the light, obviating the need for additional assistance. The fabrication experiment demonstrates that the fabrication procedure can readily achieve a visibility of over 20 dB. Refractive index testing indicates that the sensor exhibits a sensitivity of over 1116 nm/RIU within the range of 1.334-1.375. A comparison of temperature investigations indicates that the fully open cavity FPI fabricated by bonding with low-temperature melting glass exhibits relatively lower temperature immunity than that bonded with ceramic glue. Both have a relatively low temperature fluctuation within the temperature range of 40°C-100°C, with less than 3 nm and 4.5 nm in the over 60°C changes, respectively. Our proposed fully open FPI is an economical, robust, and simple-to-fabricate structure with the potential for mass production. This renders it an appealing option for practical optofluidics applications.

As a typical application of photon momentum transfer, optical levitation systems are known for their ideal isolation from mechanical dissipation and thermal noise. These characters offer extraordinary potential for acceleration precision sensing and have attracted extensive attention in both fundamental and applied physics. Although considerable improvements of optical levitation accelerometers has been reported, the dynamic testing of the sensing performance remains a crucial challenge before the utilization in practical application scenarios. In this work, we present a dual-beam optical levitation accelerometer and demonstrate the test with dynamic inputs for the first time. An acceleration sensing sensitivity of $0.1μg$ and a measurement range of $ 1g$ are achieved. These advancements solidify the potential of optical levitation accelerometer for deployment in practical domains, including navigation, intelligent driving, and industrial automation, building a bridge between the laboratory systems and real-world applications.

Movable antenna (MA) has been recently proposed as a promising candidate technology for the next generation wireless communication systems due to its significant capability of reconfiguring wireless channels via antenna movement. In this letter, we study an MA-enabled uplink non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) system, where each user is equipped with a single MA. Our objective is to maximize the users' sum rate by jointly optimizing the MAs' positions, the decoding order and the power control. To solve this non-convex problem, we equivalently transform it into two tractable subproblems. First, we use the successive convex approximation (SCA) to find a locally optimal solution for the antenna position optimization subproblem. Next, we derive the closed-form optimal solution of the decoding order and power control subproblem. Numerical results show that our proposed MA-enabled NOMA system can significantly enhance the sum rate compared to fixed-position antenna (FPA) systems and orthogonal multiple access (OMA) systems.

Visual Dialog (VD) is a task where an agent answers a series of image-related questions based on a multi-round dialog history. However, previous VD methods often treat the entire dialog history as a simple text input, disregarding the inherent conversational information flows at the round level. In this paper, we introduce Multi-round Dialogue State Tracking model (MDST), a framework that addresses this limitation by leveraging the dialogue state learned from dialog history to answer questions. MDST captures each round of dialog history, constructing internal dialogue state representations defined as 2-tuples of vision-language representations. These representations effectively ground the current question, enabling the generation of accurate answers. Experimental results on the VisDial v1.0 dataset demonstrate that MDST achieves a new state-of-the-art performance in generative setting. Furthermore, through a series of human studies, we validate the effectiveness of MDST in generating long, consistent, and human-like answers while consistently answering a series of questions correctly.

Multiple optically levitated particles in vacuum can exhibit electrostatic interactions, optical binding, and non-reciprocal light-induced dipole-dipole interactions, making them promising platforms for exploring mesoscopic entanglement and complex interactions. However, in optical trap arrays, individually controlling the position and polarization of each trap is challenging, limiting the precise tuning of interactions between adjacent particles. This constraint hinders the study of complex interaction systems. In this work, we introduce a third nanoparticle as a coupler to two initially non-interacting nanoparticles, achieving tunable dipole-dipole coupling mediated by the third one. We investigated the effect of the particles' phases and positions on the interaction strength and demonstrated its broad tunability. Our method allows for precise control of interactions between any pair of adjacent particles in multi-particle systems, facilitating the further use of levitated nanoparticle arrays in macroscopic quantum mechanics and sensing.

The movable antenna (MA) technology has attracted increasing attention in wireless communications due to its capability for flexibly adjusting the positions of multiple antennas in a local region to reconfigure channel conditions. In this paper, we investigate its application in an amplify-and-forward (AF) relay system, where a multi-MA AF relay is deployed to assist in the wireless communications from a source to a destination. In particular, we aim to maximize the achievable rate at the destination, by jointly optimizing the AF weight matrix at the relay and its MAs' positions in two stages for receiving the signal from the source and transmitting its amplified version to the destination, respectively. However, compared to the existing one-stage antenna position optimization, the two-stage position optimization is more challenging due to its intricate coupling in the achievable rate at the destination. To tackle this challenge, we decompose the considered problem into several subproblems by invoking the alternating optimization (AO) and solve them by using the semidefinite programming and the gradient ascent. Numerical results demonstrate the superiority of our proposed system over the conventional relaying system with fixed-position antennas (FPAs) and also drive essential insights.

This study explores the potential of Large Language Models (LLMs), specifically GPT-4, to enhance objectivity in organizational task performance evaluations. Through comparative analyses across two studies, including various task performance outputs, we demonstrate that LLMs can serve as a reliable and even superior alternative to human raters in evaluating knowledge-based performance outputs, which are a key contribution of knowledge workers. Our results suggest that GPT ratings are comparable to human ratings but exhibit higher consistency and reliability. Additionally, combined multiple GPT ratings on the same performance output show strong correlations with aggregated human performance ratings, akin to the consensus principle observed in performance evaluation literature. However, we also find that LLMs are prone to contextual biases, such as the halo effect, mirroring human evaluative biases. Our research suggests that while LLMs are capable of extracting meaningful constructs from text-based data, their scope is currently limited to specific forms of performance evaluation. By highlighting both the potential and limitations of LLMs, our study contributes to the discourse on AI role in management studies and sets a foundation for future research to refine AI theoretical and practical applications in management.

In addition, the hadronic form-factor ratios of $D^{+} \to \bar {K}^{*}(892)^0e^+ν_e$ at $q^2=0$, assuming a single-pole dominance parameterization, are determined to be $r_V=\frac{V(0)}{A_1(0)}= 1.43~\pm~0.07_{\rm stat.}~\pm~0.03_{\rm syst.}$ and $r_2=\frac{A_2(0)}{A_1(0)}=0.72~\pm~0.06_{\rm stat.}~\pm~0.02_{\rm syst.}$.

With the emergence of the metaverse and its role in enabling real-time simulation and analysis of real-world counterparts, an increasing number of personalized metaverse scenarios are being created to influence entertainment experiences and social behaviors. However, compared to traditional image and video entertainment applications, the exact transmission of the vast amount of metaverse-associated information significantly challenges the capacity of existing bit-oriented communication networks. Moreover, the current metaverse also witnesses a growing goal shift for transmitting the meaning behind custom-designed content, such as user-designed buildings and avatars, rather than exact copies of physical objects. To meet this growing goal shift and bandwidth challenge, this paper proposes a goal-oriented semantic communication framework for metaverse application (GSCM) to explore and define semantic information through the goal levels. Specifically, we first analyze the traditional image communication framework in metaverse construction and then detail our proposed semantic information along with the end-to-end wireless communication. We then describe the designed modules of the GSCM framework, including goal-oriented semantic information extraction, base knowledge definition, and neural radiance field (NeRF) based metaverse construction. Finally, numerous experiments have been conducted to demonstrate that, compared to image communication, our proposed GSCM framework decreases transmission latency by up to 92.6% and enhances the virtual object operation accuracy and metaverse construction clearance by up to 45.6% and 44.7%, respectively.

The $e^{+}e^{-}\rightarrowγπ^{0}$ cross section is fitted with considering the interference between the $ψ(2S)$ and continuum amplitudes and two solutions are found, ${\cal B}=3.74\times10^{-7}$ with $φ=3.93$ rad and ${\cal B}=7.87\times10^{-7}$ with $φ=2.08$ rad. Here, ${\cal B}$ is the branching fraction of $ψ(2S)\rightarrowγπ^{0}$ and $φ$ is the relative phase angle between the $ψ(2S)$ and continuum amplitudes. Due to insufficient off-resonance data, the branching fraction ${\cal B}(ψ(2S)\rightarrowγπ^{0})$ is determined to be in the range $[2.7, 9.7]\times10^{-7}$ within one standard deviation of the contour region.

The product of the branching fractions of $ψ(3686) \to γη_{c}(2S)$ and $η_{c}(2S) \to K^{+} K^{-} η$ is measured to be $\mathcal{B}(ψ(3686) \toγη_{c}(2S))\times \mathcal{B}(η_{c}(2S)\to K^{+} K^{-}η)=(2.39 \pm 0.32 \pm 0.34) \times 10^{-6}$, where the first uncertainty is statistical, and the second one is systematic. The branching fraction of $η_{c}(2S)\to K^{+} K^{-}η$ is determined to be $\mathcal{B}(η_{c}(2S)\to K^{+} K^{-}η) = (3.42 \pm 0.46 \pm 0.48 \pm 2.44) \times 10^{-3}$, where the third uncertainty is due to the branching fraction of $ψ(3686) \to γη_{c}(2S)$. Using a recent BESIII measurement of $\mathcal{B} (η_{c}(2S) \to K^{+} K^{-}π^{0})$, we also determine the ratio between the branching fractions of $η_{c}(2S) \to K^{+} K^{-}η$ and $η_{c}(2S) \to K^{+} K^{-}π^{0}$ to be $1.49 \pm 0.22 \pm 0.25$, which is consistent with the previous result of BaBar at a comparable precision level.

Immersive scene generation, notably panorama creation, benefits significantly from the adaptation of large pre-trained text-to-image (T2I) models for multi-view image generation. Due to the high cost of acquiring multi-view images, tuning-free generation is preferred. However, existing methods are either limited to simple correspondences or require extensive fine-tuning to capture complex ones. We present PanoFree, a novel method for tuning-free multi-view image generation that supports an extensive array of correspondences. PanoFree sequentially generates multi-view images using iterative warping and inpainting, addressing the key issues of inconsistency and artifacts from error accumulation without the need for fine-tuning. It improves error accumulation by enhancing cross-view awareness and refines the warping and inpainting processes via cross-view guidance, risky area estimation and erasing, and symmetric bidirectional guided generation for loop closure, alongside guidance-based semantic and density control for scene structure preservation. In experiments on Planar, 360°, and Full Spherical Panoramas, PanoFree demonstrates significant error reduction, improves global consistency, and boosts image quality without extra fine-tuning. Compared to existing methods, PanoFree is up to 5x more efficient in time and 3x more efficient in GPU memory usage, and maintains superior diversity of results (2x better in our user study). PanoFree offers a viable alternative to costly fine-tuning or the use of additional pre-trained models. Project website at https://panofree.github.io/.

Machine learning and deep learning (ML/DL) have been extensively applied in malware detection, and some existing methods demonstrate robust performance. However, several issues persist in the field of malware detection: (1) Existing work often overemphasizes accuracy at the expense of practicality, rarely considering false positive and false negative rates as important metrics. (2) Considering the evolution of malware, the performance of classifiers significantly declines over time, greatly reducing the practicality of malware detectors. (3) Prior ML/DL-based efforts heavily rely on ample labeled data for model training, largely dependent on feature engineering or domain knowledge to build feature databases, making them vulnerable if correct labels are scarce. With the development of computer vision, vision-based malware detection technology has also rapidly evolved. In this paper, we propose a visual malware general enhancement classification framework, `PromptSAM+', based on a large visual network segmentation model, the Prompt Segment Anything Model(named PromptSAM+). Our experimental results indicate that 'PromptSAM+' is effective and efficient in malware detection and classification, achieving high accuracy and low rates of false positives and negatives. The proposed method outperforms the most advanced image-based malware detection technologies on several datasets. 'PromptSAM+' can mitigate aging in existing image-based malware classifiers, reducing the considerable manpower needed for labeling new malware samples through active learning. We conducted experiments on datasets for both Windows and Android platforms, achieving favorable outcomes. Additionally, our ablation experiments on several datasets demonstrate that our model identifies effective modules within the large visual network.

In dynamic Windows malware detection, deep learning models are extensively deployed to analyze API sequences. Methods based on API sequences play a crucial role in malware prevention. However, due to the continuous updates of APIs and the changes in API sequence calls leading to the constant evolution of malware variants, the detection capability of API sequence-based malware detection models significantly diminishes over time. We observe that the API sequences of malware samples before and after evolution usually have similar malicious semantics. Specifically, compared to the original samples, evolved malware samples often use the API sequences of the pre-evolution samples to achieve similar malicious behaviors. For instance, they access similar sensitive system resources and extend new malicious functions based on the original functionalities. In this paper, we propose a frame(MME), a framework that can enhance existing API sequence-based malware detectors and mitigate the adverse effects of malware evolution. To help detection models capture the similar semantics of these post-evolution API sequences, our framework represents API sequences using API knowledge graphs and system resource encodings and applies contrastive learning to enhance the model's encoder. Results indicate that, compared to Regular Text-CNN, our framework can significantly reduce the false positive rate by 13.10% and improve the F1-Score by 8.47% on five years of data, achieving the best experimental results. Additionally, evaluations show that our framework can save on the human costs required for model maintenance. We only need 1% of the budget per month to reduce the false positive rate by 11.16% and improve the F1-Score by 6.44%.

As a novel and promising 2D material, bismuth oxyselenide (Bi$_2$O$_2$Se) has demonstrated significant potential to overcome existing technical barriers in various electronic device applications, due to its unique physical properties like high symmetry, adjustable electronic structure, ultra-high electron mobility. However, the rapid growth of Bi$_2$O$_2$Se films down to a few atomic layers with precise control remains a significant challenge. In this work, the growth of two-dimensional (2D) Bi$_2$O$_2$Se thin films by the pulsed laser deposition (PLD) method is systematically investigated. By controlling temperature, oxygen pressure, laser energy density and laser emission frequency, we successfully prepare atomically thin and flat Bi$_2$O$_2$Se (001) thin films on the (001) surface of SrTiO3. Importantly, we provide a fundamental and unique perspective toward understanding the growth process of atomically thin and flat Bi$_2$O$_2$Se films, and the growth process can be primarily summarized into four steps: i) anisotropic non-spontaneous nucleation preferentially along the step roots; ii) monolayer Bi$_2$O$_2$Se nanosheets expanding across the surrounding area, and eventually covering the entire STO substrate step; iii) vertical growth of Bi$_2$O$_2$Se monolayer in a 2D Frank-van der Merwe (FM) epitaxial growth, and iv) with a layer-by-layer 2D FM growth mode, ultimately producing an atomically flat and epitaxially aligned thin film. Moreover, the combined results of the crystallinity quality, surface morphology and the chemical states manifest the successful PLD-growth of high-quality Bi$_2$O$_2$Se films in a controllable and fast mode.

Multi-turn dialogues are a key interaction method between humans and Large Language Models (LLMs), as conversations extend over multiple rounds, keeping LLMs' high generation quality and low latency is a challenge. Mainstream LLMs can be grouped into two categories based on masking strategy: causal LLM and prefix LLM. Several works have demonstrated that prefix LLMs tend to outperform causal ones in scenarios that heavily depend on historical context such as multi-turn dialogues or in-context learning, thanks to their bidirectional attention on prefix sequences. However, prefix LLMs have an inherent inefficient training problem in multi-turn dialogue datasets. In addition, the attention mechanism of prefix LLM makes it unable to reuse Key-Value Cache (KV Cache) across dialogue rounds to reduce generation latency. In this paper, we propose a novel masking scheme called Intermittent Semi-working Mask (ISM) to address these problems. Specifically, we apply alternate bidirectional and unidirectional attention on queries and answers in the dialogue history. In this way, ISM is able to maintain the high quality of prefix LLM and low generation latency of causal LLM, simultaneously. Extensive experiments illustrate that our ISM achieves significant performance.

Efficient image transmission is essential for seamless communication and collaboration within the visually-driven digital landscape. To achieve low latency and high-quality image reconstruction over a bandwidth-constrained noisy wireless channel, we propose a stable diffusion (SD)-based goal-oriented semantic communication (GSC) framework. In this framework, we design a semantic autoencoder that effectively extracts semantic information from images to reduce the transmission data size while ensuring high-quality reconstruction. Recognizing the impact of wireless channel noise on semantic information transmission, we propose an SD-based denoiser for GSC (SD-GSC) conditional on instantaneous channel gain to remove the channel noise from the received noisy semantic information under known channel. For scenarios with unknown channel, we further propose a parallel SD denoiser for GSC (PSD-GSC) to jointly learn the distribution of channel gains and denoise the received semantic information. Experimental results show that SD-GSC outperforms state-of-the-art ADJSCC and Latent-Diff DNSC, with the Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR) improvement by 7 dB and 5 dB, and the Fréchet Inception Distance (FID) reduction by 16 and 20, respectively. Additionally, PSD-GSC archives PSNR improvement of 2 dB and FID reduction of 6 compared to MMSE equalizer-enhanced SD-GSC.

The decay $D^0\to b_1(1235)^-e^{+}ν_{e}$ is observed with a significance of 5.2$σ$ after considering systematic uncertainty, while evidence for the decay $D^+\to b_1(1235)^0 e^+ν_e$ is obtained with a 3.1$σ$ significance. The product branching fractions are determined to be ${\mathcal B}(D^0\to b_{1}(1235)^-e^{+}ν_{e})\times {\mathcal B} (b_1(1235)^-\to ωπ^-) = (0.72\pm0.18^{+0.06}_{-0.08})\times10^{-4}$ and ${\mathcal B}(D^+\to b_{1}(1235)^0e^{+}ν_{e})\times {\mathcal B} (b_1(1235)^0~\to ωπ^0) = (1.16\pm0.44\pm0.16)\times10^{-4}$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. The ratio of their partial decay widths is determined to be $\frac{Γ(D^0\to b_{1}(1235)^-e^{+}ν_{e})}{2Γ(D^+\to b_{1}(1235)^0e^{+}ν_{e})}=0.78\pm0.19^{+0.04}_{-0.05}$, which is consistent with unity, predicted by isospin invariance, within uncertainties.

Topological materials are of great interest because they can support metallic edge or surface states that are robust against perturbations, with the potential for technological applications. Here we experimentally explore the light-induced non-equilibrium properties of two distinct topological phases in NaCd4As3: a topological crystalline insulator (TCI) phase and a topological insulator (TI) phase. This material has surface states that are protected by mirror symmetry in the TCI phase at room temperature, while it undergoes a structural phase transition to a TI phase below 200 K. After exciting the TI phase by an ultrafast laser pulse, we observe a leading band edge shift of >150 meV, that slowly builds up and reaches a maximum after ~0.6 ps, and that persists for ~8 ps. The slow rise time of the excited electron population and electron temperature suggests that the electronic and structural orders are strongly coupled in this TI phase. It also suggests that the directly excited electronic states and the probed electronic states are weakly coupled. Both couplings are likely due to a partial relaxation of the lattice distortion, which is known to be associated with the TI phase. In contrast, no distinct excited state is observed in the TCI phase immediately or after photoexcitation, which we attribute to the low density of states and phase space available near the Fermi level. Our results show how ultrafast laser excitation can reveal the distinct excited states and interactions in phase-rich topological materials.

Many multi-dimensional (M-D) graph signals appear in the real world, such as digital images, sensor network measurements and temperature records from weather observation stations. It is a key challenge to design a transform method for processing these graph M-D signals in the linear canonical transform domain. This paper proposes the two-dimensional graph linear canonical transform based on the central discrete dilated Hermite function (2-D CDDHFs-GLCT) and the two-dimensional graph linear canonical transform based on chirp multiplication-chirp convolution-chirp multiplication decomposition (2-D CM-CC-CM-GLCT). Then, extending 2-D CDDHFs-GLCT and 2-D CM-CC-CM-GLCT to M-D CDDHFs-GLCT and M-D CM-CC-CM-GLCT. In terms of the computational complexity, additivity and reversibility, M-D CDDHFs-GLCT and M-D CM-CC-CM-GLCT are compared. Theoretical analysis shows that the computational complexity of M-D CM-CC-CM-GLCT algorithm is obviously reduced. Simulation results indicate that M-D CM-CC-CM-GLCT achieves comparable additivity to M-D CDDHFs-GLCT, while M-D CM-CC-CM-GLCT exhibits better reversibility. Finally, M-D GLCT is applied to data compression to show its application advantages. The experimental results reflect the superiority of M-D GLCT in the algorithm design and implementation of data compression.

$TbMn_{6}Sn_{6}$ is a ferrimagnetic material which exhibits a highly unusual phase transition near room temperature where spins remain collinear while the total magnetic moment rotates from out-of-plane to in-plane. The mechanisms underlying this phenomenon have been studied in the quasi-static limit and the reorientation has been attributed to the competing anisotropies of Tb and Mn, whose magnetic moments have very different temperature dependencies. In this work, we present the first measurement of the spin-reorientation transition in $TbMn_{6}Sn_{6}$. By probing very small signals with the transverse magneto-optical Kerr effect (TMOKE) at the Mn M-edge, we show that the re-orientation timescale spans from 12 ps to 24 ps, depending on the laser excitation fluence. We then verify these data with a simple model of spin precession with a temperature-dependent magnetocrystalline anisotropy field to show that the spin reorientation timescale is consistent with the reorientation being driven by very large anisotropies energies on approximately $\approx$ meV scales. Promisingly, the model predicts a possibility of 180o reorientation of the out-of-plane moment over a range of excitation fluences. This could facilitate optically controlled magnetization switching between very stable ground states, which could have useful applications in spintronics or data storage.

The graph linear canonical transform (GLCT) is presented as an extension of the graph Fourier transform (GFT) and the graph fractional Fourier transform (GFrFT), offering more flexibility as an effective tool for graph signal processing. In this paper, we introduce a GLCT based on chirp multiplication-chirp convolution-chirp multiplication decomposition (CM-CC-CM-GLCT), which irrelevant to sampling periods and without oversampling operation. Various properties and special cases of the CM-CC-CM-GLCT are derived and discussed. In terms of computational complexity, additivity, and reversibility, we compare the CM-CC-CM-GLCT and the GLCT based on the central discrete dilated Hermite function (CDDHFs-GLCT). Theoretical analysis demonstrates that the computational complexity of the CM-CC-CM-GLCT is significantly reduced. Simulation results indicate that the CM-CC-CM-GLCT achieves similar additivity to the CDDHFs-GLCT. Notably, the CM-CC-CM-GLCT exhibits better reversibility.

China Space Station Telescope (CSST) has the capability to conduct slitless spectroscopic survey simultaneously with photometric survey. The spectroscopic survey will measure slitless spectra, potentially providing more accurate estimations of galaxy properties, particularly redshift, compared to broadband photometry. However, due to low-resolution and signal-to-noise ratio of slitless spectra, measurement of these properties is significantly challenging. In this study, we employ a Bayesian neural network (BNN) to assess the accuracy of redshift estimations from slitless spectra anticipated to be observed by CSST. The slitless spectra are simulated based on real data from the early data release of the Dark Energy Spectroscopic Instrument (DESI-EDR) and the 16th data release of the Baryon Oscillaton Spectroscopic Survey (BOSS-DR16), combining the 9th data release of the DESI Legacy Survey (DESI LS DR9). The BNN provides redshifts estimates along with corresponding uncertainties, achieving an accuracy of $σ_{\rm NMAD} = 0.00063$, outlier percentage $η=0.92\%$ and weighted mean uncertainty $\bar{E} = 0.00228$. These results successfully meet the requirement for cosmological studies using slitless spectra from CSST.

We have grown single crystals of PrMgAl$_{11}$O$_{19}$, an ideal triangular-lattice antiferromagnet, and performed magnetic susceptibility, specific heat and thermal conductivity measurements at low temperatures. The main results are as follows: (i) The temperature-dependent susceptibility shows a negligible in-plane response and the isothermal magnetization curves confirm the easy axis along the $c$ axis. (ii) The specific heat measurements reveal the absence of long-range magnetic order down to 60 mK, and the power-law temperature dependence indicates the existence of the gapless magnetic excitations in system. (iii) The ultralow-temperature thermal conductivity exhibits negligibly small residual term ($κ_0/T$) and strong spin-phonon scattering effect, suggesting that the spin excitations are also involved. Our results further demonstrate that PrMgAl$_{11}$O$_{19}$ is a rare quantum spin liquid candidate with Ising-like anisotropy.

Mechanics-related problems often present unique challenges in achieving accurate geometric and physical representations, particularly for non-uniform structures. Graph neural networks (GNNs) have emerged as a promising tool to tackle these challenges by adeptly learning from graph data with irregular underlying structures. Consequently, recent years have witnessed a surge in complex mechanics-related applications inspired by the advancements of GNNs. Despite this process, there is a notable absence of a systematic review addressing the recent advancement of GNNs in solving mechanics-related problems. To bridge this gap, this review article aims to provide an in-depth overview of the GNN applications in mechanics-related domains while identifying key challenges and outlining potential future research directions. In this review article, we begin by introducing the fundamental algorithms of GNNs that are widely employed in mechanics-related applications. Intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) has been considered as an efficient way to boost the computation capability of mobile edge computing (MEC) system, especially when the communication links is blocked or the communication signal is weak. However, most existing works are restricted to narrow-band channel and ideal IRS reflection model, which is not practical and may lead to significant performance degradation in realistic systems. To further exploit the benefits of IRS in MEC system, we consider an IRS-enhanced wideband MEC system with practical IRS reflection model. With the aim of minimizing the weighted latency of all devices, the offloading data volume, edge computing resource, BS's receiving vector, and IRS passive beamforming are jointly optimized. Since the formulated problem is non-convex, we employ the block coordinate descent (BCD) technique to decouple it into two subproblems for alternatively optimizing computing and communication settings. The effectiveness and convergence of the proposed algorithm are validate via numerical analyses. In addition, simulation results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm can achieve lower latency compared to that based on the ideal IRS reflection model, which confirms the necessary of considering practical model when designing an IRS-enhanced wideband MEC system.

Abstract:
Recently, constructions of optimal linear codes from simplicial complexes have attracted much attention and some related nice works were presented. Let $q$ be a prime power. In this paper, by using the simplicial complexes of ${\mathbb F}_{q}^m$ with one single maximal element, we construct four families of linear codes over the ring ${\mathbb F}_{q}+u{\mathbb F}_{q}$ ($u^2=0$), which generalizes…

Recently, constructions of optimal linear codes from simplicial complexes have attracted much attention and some related nice works were presented. Let $q$ be a prime power. In this paper, by using the simplicial complexes of ${\mathbb F}_{q}^m$ with one single maximal element, we construct four families of linear codes over the ring ${\mathbb F}_{q}+u{\mathbb F}_{q}$ ($u^2=0$), which generalizes the results of [IEEE Trans. Inf. Theory 66(6):3657-3663, 2020]. The parameters and Lee weight distributions of these four families of codes are completely determined. Most notably, via the Gray map, we obtain several classes of optimal linear codes over ${\mathbb F}_{q}$, including (near) Griesmer codes and distance-optimal codes.

In this paper, several infinite families of codes over the extension of non-unital non-commutative rings are constructed utilizing general simplicial complexes. Thanks to the special structure of the defining sets, the principal parameters of these codes are characterized. Specially, when the employed simplicial complexes are generated by a single maximal element, we determine their Lee weight distributions completely. Furthermore, by considering the Gray image codes and the corresponding subfield-like codes, numerous of linear codes over $\mathbb{F}_q$ are also obtained, where $q$ is a prime power. Certain conditions are given to ensure the above linear codes are (Hermitian) self-orthogonal in the case of $q=2,3,4$. It is noteworthy that most of the derived codes over $\mathbb{F}_q$ satisfy the Ashikhmin-Barg's condition for minimality. Besides, we obtain two infinite families of distance-optimal codes over $\mathbb{F}_q$ with respect to the Griesmer bound.

This paper introduces Lite-SAM, an efficient end-to-end solution for the SegEvery task designed to reduce computational costs and redundancy. Lite-SAM is composed of four main components: a streamlined CNN-Transformer hybrid encoder (LiteViT), an automated prompt proposal network (AutoPPN), a traditional prompt encoder, and a mask decoder. All these components are integrated within the SAM framework. Our LiteViT, a high-performance lightweight backbone network, has only 1.16M parameters, which is a 23% reduction compared to the lightest existing backbone network Shufflenet. We also introduce AutoPPN, an innovative end-to-end method for prompt boxes and points generation. This is an improvement over traditional grid search sampling methods, and its unique design allows for easy integration into any SAM series algorithm, extending its usability. we have thoroughly benchmarked Lite-SAM across a plethora of both public and private datasets. The evaluation encompassed a broad spectrum of universal metrics, including the number of parameters, SegEvery execution time, and accuracy. The findings reveal that Lite-SAM, operating with a lean 4.2M parameters, significantly outpaces its counterparts, demonstrating performance improvements of 43x, 31x, 20x, 21x, and 1.6x over SAM, MobileSAM, Edge-SAM, EfficientViT-SAM, and MobileSAM-v2 respectively, all the while maintaining competitive accuracy. This underscores Lite-SAM's prowess in achieving an optimal equilibrium between performance and precision, thereby setting a new state-of-the-art(SOTA) benchmark in the domain.

Object pose estimation plays a vital role in mixed-reality interactions when users manipulate tangible objects as controllers. Traditional vision-based object pose estimation methods leverage 3D reconstruction to synthesize training data. However, these methods are designed for static objects with diffuse colors and do not work well for objects that change their appearance during manipulation, such as deformable objects like plush toys, transparent objects like chemical flasks, reflective objects like metal pitchers, and articulated objects like scissors. To address this limitation, we propose Rocap, a robotic pipeline that emulates human manipulation of target objects while generating data labeled with ground truth pose information. The user first gives the target object to a robotic arm, and the system captures many pictures of the object in various 6D configurations. The system trains a model by using captured images and their ground truth pose information automatically calculated from the joint angles of the robotic arm. We showcase pose estimation for appearance-changing objects by training simple deep-learning models using the collected data and comparing the results with a model trained with synthetic data based on 3D reconstruction via quantitative and qualitative evaluation. The findings underscore the promising capabilities of Rocap.

The absolute branching fractions of $D_{s1}(2536)^- \rightarrow \bar{D}^{*0}K^-$ and $D_{s2}^*(2573)^- \rightarrow \bar{D}^0K^-$ are measured for the first time to be $(35.9\pm 4.8\pm 3.5)\%$ and $(37.4\pm 3.1\pm 4.6)\%$, respectively. The measurements are in tension with predictions based on the assumption that the $D_{s1}(2536)$ and $D_{s2}^*(2573)$ are dominated by a bare $c\bar{s}$ component. The $e^+e^-\rightarrow D_s^+D_{s1}(2536)^-$ and $e^+e^-\rightarrow D_s^+D^*_{s2}(2573)^-$ cross sections are measured, and a resonant structure at around 4.6~GeV with a width of 50~MeV is observed for the first time with a statistical significance of $15σ$ in the $e^+e^-\rightarrow D_s^+D^*_{s2}(2573)^-$ process. It could be the $Y(4626)$ found by the Belle collaboration in the $D_s^+D_{s1}(2536)^{-}$ final state, since they have similar masses and widths. There is also evidence for a structure at around 4.75~GeV in both processes.

Artificial Intelligence of Things (AIoT) is an emerging frontier based on the deep fusion of Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies. Although advanced deep learning techniques enhance the efficient data processing and intelligent analysis of complex IoT data, they still suffer from notable challenges when deployed to practical AIoT applications, such as constrained resources, and diverse task requirements. Knowledge transfer is an effective method to enhance learning performance by avoiding the exorbitant costs associated with data recollection and model retraining. Notably, although there are already some valuable and impressive surveys on transfer learning, these surveys introduce approaches in a relatively isolated way and lack the recent advances of various knowledge transfer techniques for AIoT field. This survey endeavors to introduce a new concept of knowledge transfer, referred to as Crowd Knowledge Transfer (CrowdTransfer), which aims to transfer prior knowledge learned from a crowd of agents to reduce the training cost and as well as improve the performance of the model in real-world complicated scenarios. Particularly, we present four transfer modes from the perspective of crowd intelligence, including derivation, sharing, evolution and fusion modes. Building upon conventional transfer learning methods, we further delve into advanced crowd knowledge transfer models from three perspectives for various AIoT applications. Furthermore, we explore some applications of AIoT areas, such as human activity recognition, urban computing, multi-robot system, and smart factory. Finally, we discuss the open issues and outline future research directions of knowledge transfer in AIoT community.
