Large language models are ubiquitous in natural language processing because they can adapt to new tasks without retraining. However, their sheer scale and complexity present unique challenges and opportunities, prompting researchers and practitioners to explore novel model training, optimization, and deployment methods. This literature review focuses on various techniques for reducing resource requirements and compressing large language models, including quantization, pruning, knowledge distillation, and architectural optimizations. The primary objective is to explore each method in-depth and highlight its unique challenges and practical applications. The discussed methods are categorized into a taxonomy that presents an overview of the optimization landscape and helps navigate it to understand the research trajectory better.

Speaker diarization answers the question "who spoke when" for an audio file. In some diarization scenarios, low latency is required for transcription. Speaker diarization with low latency is referred to as online speaker diarization. The DIART pipeline is an online speaker diarization system. It consists of a segmentation and an embedding model. The embedding model has the largest share of the overall latency. The aim of this paper is to optimize the inference latency of the DIART pipeline. Different inference optimization methods such as knowledge distilation, pruning, quantization and layer fusion are applied to the embedding model of the pipeline. It turns out that knowledge distillation optimizes the latency, but has a negative effect on the accuracy. Quantization and layer fusion also have a positive influence on the latency without worsening the accuracy. Pruning, on the other hand, does not improve latency.

In this paper, different online speaker diarization systems are evaluated on the same hardware with the same test data with regard to their latency. The latency is the time span from audio input to the output of the corresponding speaker label. As part of the evaluation, various model combinations within the DIART framework, a diarization system based on the online clustering algorithm UIS-RNN-SML, and the end-to-end online diarization system FS-EEND are compared. The lowest latency is achieved for the DIART-pipeline with the embedding model pyannote/embedding and the segmentation model pyannote/segmentation. The FS-EEND system shows a similarly good latency. In general there is currently no published research that compares several online diarization systems in terms of their latency. This makes this work even more relevant.

Speaker diarization provides the answer to the question "who spoke when?" for an audio file. This information can be used to complete audio transcripts for further processing steps. Most speaker diarization systems assume that the audio file is available as a whole. However, there are scenarios in which the speaker labels are needed immediately after the arrival of an audio segment. Speaker diarization with a correspondingly low latency is referred to as online speaker diarization. This paper provides an overview. First the history of online speaker diarization is briefly presented. Next a taxonomy and datasets for training and evaluation are given. In the sections that follow, online diarization methods and systems are discussed in detail. This paper concludes with the presentation of challenges that still need to be solved by future research in the field of online speaker diarization.

We find that the current data are in agreement with the power counting of the SU(3)$_F$ expansion. While the SU(3)$_F$ limit is excluded at $>5σ$, amplitude-level SU(3)$_F$-breaking contributions of $\sim 20\%$ suffice for an excellent description of the data. SU(3)$_F$ breaking is needed in tree ($>5σ$) and color-suppressed tree ($2.4σ$) diagrams. We are not yet sensitive to SU(3)$_F$ breaking in exchange diagrams. From the underlying SU(3)$_F$ parametrization we predict the unmeasured branching ratios $\mathcal{B}(\overline{B}_s^0\rightarrow π^- D^+) = 2 \mathcal{B}(\overline{B}_s^0\rightarrow π^0 D^0) = [0.3, 7.2] \times 10^{-6}$ of suppressed decays that can be searched for at the LHCb experiment.

Large language models have gained immense importance in recent years and have demonstrated outstanding results in solving various tasks. However, despite these achievements, many questions remain unanswered in the context of large language models. Besides the optimal use of the models for inference and the alignment of the results to the desired specifications, the transfer of models to other languages is still an underdeveloped area of research. The recent publication of models such as Llama-2 and Zephyr has provided new insights into architectural improvements and the use of human feedback. However, insights into adapting these techniques to other languages remain scarce. In this paper, we build on latest improvements and apply the Direct Preference Optimization(DPO) approach to the German language. The model is available at https://huggingface.co/DRXD1000/Phoenix.

The Standard Model prediction $\mathcal{B}\sim 3 \times 10^{-11}$ is still about two orders of magnitude away from the current experimental upper bound. One way to continue to make progress towards the construction of a KUT is by improving the accuracy in the calculation of $\varepsilon'$. Another way which is the primary focus here is via studies of $K^0 \to π^0 μ^+ μ^-$. LHCb, J-PARC, the proposed HIKE project, phenomenology, and in fact precision studies on the lattice can all play a very important role in this context.

We perform a detailed model-independent phenomenological analysis of $\bar B\to \bar D D$ decays. Employing an SU(3)$_F$ analysis including symmetry-breaking contributions together with a conservative power counting for various suppression effects, we obtain updated Standard Model predictions for all branching fractions and CP asymmetries from a fit to the available experimental data, testable at Belle II and the LHC experiments. These results include all relevant suppressed contributions, thereby providing upper limits on subleading Standard Model (SM) effects like "penguin pollution", enabling searches for physics beyond the SM. Importantly, allowing in the same fit for the production fractions of charged and neutral $B$ mesons to be different, we find $f_d/f_u = 0.86\pm0.05$, which is $2.5σ$ away from unity, which, if confirmed, would have important phenomenological consequences.

$B^\pm \to DK^\pm$ transitions are known to provide theoretically clean information about the CKM angle $γ$, with the most precise available methods exploiting the cascade decay of the neutral $D$ into $CP$ self-conjugate states. Such analyses currently require binning in the $D$ decay Dalitz plot, while a recently proposed method replaces this binning with the truncation of a Fourier series expansion. In this paper, we present a proof of principle of a novel alternative to these two methods, in which no approximations at the level of the data representation are required. In particular, our new strategy makes no assumptions about the amplitude and strong phase variation over the Dalitz plot. This comes at the cost of a degree of ambiguity in the choice of test statistic quantifying the compatibility of the data with a given value of $γ$, with improved choices of test statistic yielding higher sensitivity. While our current proof-of-principle implementation does not demonstrate optimal sensitivity to $γ$, its conceptually novel approach opens the door to new strategies for $γ$ extraction. More studies are required to see if these can be competitive with the existing methods.

We find that the phase appearing in the unitarity relation between $\mathcal{B}(K_L\rightarrow μ^+μ^-)$ and $\mathcal{B}(K_L\rightarrow γγ)$ is equal to the phase shift in the interference term of the time-dependent $K\rightarrow μ^+μ^-$ decay. A probe of this relation at future kaon facilities constitutes a Standard Model test with a theory precision of about $2\%$. The phase has further importance for sensitivity studies regarding the measurement of the time-dependent $K\rightarrow μ^+μ^-$ decay rate to extract the CKM matrix element combination $\vert V_{ts} V_{td} \sin(β+β_s)\vert\approx A^2λ^5\barη$. We find a model-independent theoretically clean prediction, $\cos^2\varphi_0 = 0.96 \pm 0.03$. The quoted error is a combination of the theoretical and experimental errors, and both of them are expected to shrink in the future. Using input from the large-$N_C$ limit within chiral perturbation theory, we find a theory preference towards solutions with negative $\cos\varphi_0$, reducing a four-fold ambiguity in the angle $\varphi_0$ to a two-fold one.

Recent LHCb data shows that the direct CP asymmetries of the decay modes $D^0\rightarrow π^+π^-$ and $D^0\rightarrow K^+K^-$ have the same sign, violating an improved $U$-spin limit sum rule in an unexpected way at $2.1σ$. From the new data, we determine for the first time the imaginary part of the CKM-subleading, $U$-spin breaking $ΔU=1$ correction to the $U$-spin limit $ΔU=0$ amplitude. The imaginary part of the $ΔU=0$ amplitude is determined by $Δa_{CP}^{\mathrm{dir}}$. The corresponding strong phases are yet unknown and could be extracted in the future from time-dependent measurements. Assuming $\mathcal{O}(1)$ strong phases due to non-perturbative rescattering, we find the ratio of $U$-spin breaking to $U$-spin limit contributions to the CKM-subleading amplitudes to be $(173^{+85}_{-74})\%$. This highly exceeds the Standard Model (SM) expectation of $\sim 30\%$ $U$-spin breaking, with a significance of $1.95σ$. If this puzzle is confirmed with more data in the future, in the SM it would imply the breakdown of the $U$-spin expansion in CKM-subleading amplitudes of charm decays. The other solution are new physics models that generate an additional $ΔU=1$ operator, leaving the $U$-spin power expansion intact. Examples for the latter option are an extended scalar sector or flavorful $Z'$ models.

Thereby, our calculations based on the Standard Model suggest compatibility with the LHCb observations for now. However, experimental information especially on $f_0(1790)$ is rather sparse limiting our accuracy and further data on these resonances is strongly advocated.

We discuss ways to probe similar ratios in $D^0\rightarrow V^{\pm}P^{\mp}$ decays, where $V$ is a vector that decays to two pseudoscalars, from the Dalitz-plot analysis of time-integrated three-body decays. Compared to two-body decays, three-body decays have the advantage that the complete system can be solved without the need for time-dependent CP violation measurements or use of correlated $D^0$--$\overline{D}^0$ production. We discuss the decays $D^0\rightarrow π^+π^-π^0$ and $D^0\rightarrow K^+K^-π^0$ as examples by considering a toy model of only two overlapping charged resonances, treating the underlying pseudo two-body decays in full generality.

As a consequence of the Ward identity for hadronic matrix elements, we find relations between the differential decay rates of semileptonic decay modes with the underlying quark-level transition $b\rightarrow cτν$, which are valid in scalar models. The decay-mode dependent scalar form factor is the only necessary theoretical ingredient for the relations. Otherwise, they combine measurable decay rates as a function of the invariant mass-squared of the lepton pair $q^2$ in such a way that a universal decay-mode independent function is found for decays to vector and pseudoscalar mesons, respectively. This can be applied to the decays $B\rightarrow D^{*}τν$, $B_s\rightarrow D_s^*τν$, $B_c\rightarrow J/ψτν$ and $B\rightarrow Dτν$, $B_s\rightarrow D_sτν$, $B_c\rightarrow η_cτν$, with implications for $R(D^{(*)})$, $R(D_s^{(*)})$, $R(J/ψ)$, $R(η_c)$, and $\mathcal{B}(B_c\rightarrow τν)$. The slope and curvature of the characteristic $q^2$-dependence is proportional to scalar new physics parameters, facilitating their straight forward extraction, complementary to global fits.

Two of the elements of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa quark mixing matrix, $|V_{ub}|$ and $|V_{cb}|$, are extracted from semileptonic B decays. The results of the B factories, analysed in the light of the most recent theoretical calculations, remain puzzling, because for both $|V_{ub}|$ and $|V_{cb}|$ the exclusive and inclusive determinations are in clear tension. Further, measurements in the $τ$ channels at Belle, Babar, and LHCb show discrepancies with the Standard Model predictions, pointing to a possible violation of lepton flavor universality. LHCb and Belle II have the potential to resolve these issues in the next few years. This article summarizes the discussions and results obtained at the MITP workshop held on April 9--13, 2018, in Mainz, Germany, with the goal to develop a medium-term strategy of analyses and calculations aimed at solving the puzzles. Lattice and continuum theorists working together with experimentalists have discussed how to reshape the semileptonic analyses in view of the much higher luminosity expected at Belle II, searching for ways to systematically validate the theoretical predictions in both exclusive and inclusive B decays, and to exploit the rich possibilities at LHCb.

We point out that testing the equality of the Cabibbo angle as extracted from $Γ(K\rightarrow πlν)$, the ratio $Γ(K\rightarrow lν)/Γ(π\rightarrow lν)$ and nuclear $β$ decays is not identical to a test of first row unitarity of the Cabibbo-Kobayashi-Maskawa (CKM) matrix. The reason is that a CKM unitarity test involves only two parameters, while the degrees of freedom for the assessment of the goodness-of-fit of the universality of the Cabibbo angle entailed by the Standard Model (SM) is equal to the number of measurements minus one. Beyond the SM all different processes could in principle give different Cabibbo angles. Consequently, the difference between the two tests becomes relevant starting from three observables giving results for the Cabibbo angle that are in tension with each other. With current data, depending on the treatment of the nuclear $β$ decays, we find that New Physics is favored over the SM at $5.1\,σ$ or $3.6\,σ$ while CKM unitarity is rejected at $4.8σ$ or $3.0σ$, respectively. We argue that the best method to test the SM is to test the equality of the Cabibbo angle, because CKM unitarity is only one aspect of the SM.

We discuss the implications of the recent discovery of CP violation in two-body SCS $D$ decays by LHCb. We show that the result can be explained within the SM without the need for any large $SU(3)$ breaking effects. It further enables the determination of the imaginary part of the ratio of the $ΔU=0$ over $ΔU=1$ matrix elements in charm decays, which we find to be $(0.65\pm 0.12)$. Within the standard model, the result proves the non-perturbative nature of the penguin contraction of tree operators in charm decays, similar to the known non-perturbative enhancement of $ΔI=1/2$ over $ΔI=3/2$ matrix elements in kaon decays, that is, the $ΔI=1/2$ rule. As a guideline for future measurements, we show how to completely solve the most general parametrization of the $D \to P^+P^-$ system.

We connect the dedicated flavour physics programme to studies of the top quark, Higgs boson, and direct high-$p_T$ searches for new particles and force carriers. We present the physics program of the Belle II experiment, located on the intensity frontier SuperKEKB $e^+e^-$ collider. Belle II collected its first collisions in 2018, and is expected to operate for the next decade. It is anticipated to collect 50/ab of collision data over its lifetime. This book is the outcome of a joint effort of Belle II collaborators and theorists through the Belle II theory interface platform (B2TiP), an effort that commenced in 2014. The aim of B2TiP was to elucidate the potential impacts of the Belle II program, which includes a wide scope of physics topics: B physics, charm, tau, quarkonium, electroweak precision measurements and dark sector searches. It is composed of nine working groups (WGs), which are coordinated by teams of theorist and experimentalists conveners: Semileptonic and leptonic B decays, Radiative and Electroweak penguins, phi_1 and phi_2 (time-dependent CP violation) measurements, phi_3 measurements, Charmless hadronic B decay, Charm, Quarkonium(like), tau and low-multiplicity processes, new physics and global fit analyses. This book highlights "golden- and silver-channels", i.e. those that would have the highest potential impact in the field. Theorists scrutinised the role of those measurements and estimated the respective theoretical uncertainties, achievable now as well as prospects for the future. Experimentalists investigated the expected improvements with the large dataset expected from Belle II, taking into account improved performance from the upgraded detector.

Available form factor parametrizations for $B\rightarrow D^*lν$ imply different theoretical assumptions and different treatments of theoretical uncertainties. They give results for $\vert V_{cb}\vert$ whose central values are apart by up to $8\%$. The way the Caprini Lellouch Neubert (CLN) parametrization has been used in experimental analyses sets theoretical uncertainties of the Heavy Quark Effective Theory (HQET) results on slope and curvature of the form factor ratios $R_1$ and $R_2$ to zero. Furthermore, the relation of curvature and slope of the axial form factor $A_1$ is fixed to the HQET central value. In view of the current experimental precision these uncertainties cannot be neglected any more. Using the Boyd Grinstein Lebed (BGL) parametrization and taking into account theoretical uncertainties in a conservative way, we extract $\vert V_{cb}\vert$ from recent preliminary Belle data and the world average of the total branching ratio. We include an $\mathcal{O}(10\%-20\%)$ theoretical uncertainty of HQET input due to unknown corrections beyond NLO which were neglected in all previous analyses. This is important for reliable extractions of $\vert V_{cb}\vert$ as well as precision tests of the Standard Model with robust predictions of the lepton flavor nonuniversality observable $R(D^*)$ and the $τ$ polarization asymmetry $P_τ$. Including input from Light Cone Sum Rules (LCSRs) we find $\vert V_{cb}\vert = 40.6\left(^{+1.2}_{-1.3}\right)\cdot 10^{-3}$, $R(D^*) = 0.260(8)$ and $P_τ=-0.47(4)$. Without LCSRs we find $\vert V_{cb}\vert = 41.5(1.3)\cdot 10^{-3}$ and the same results for $R(D^*)$ and $P_τ$. The $R(D^*)$ anomaly is persistent, but its statistical significance is slightly reduced to 2.6$σ$.

We stress that no flavor tagging is necessary, the untagged CP asymmetry $a_{CP}^{\mathrm{dir}}(D \to K_S K^{*0})$ is essentially equal to the tagged one, so that the untagged measurement comes with a significant statistical gain. Depending on the relevant strong phase, $\vert a_{CP}^{\text{dir, untag}}\vert$ can be as large as $0.003$. The CP asymmetry is dominantly generated by exchange diagrams and does not require non-vanishing penguin amplitudes. While the CP asymmetry is smaller than in the case of $D^0\rightarrow K_SK_S$, the experimental analysis is more efficient due to the prompt decay $K^{*0}\rightarrow K^+π^-$. One may further search for favourable strong phases in the Dalitz plot in the vicinity of the $K^{*0}$ peak.

The other sum rule involves $a_{CP}^{\mathrm{dir}}(D^+\rightarrow \bar{K}^0K^+)$, $a_{CP}^{\mathrm{dir}}(D_s^+\rightarrow K^0π^+)$, and $a_{CP}^{\mathrm{dir}}(D_s^+\to K^+ π^0)$. The second topic is the direct CP asymmetry in the decay $D^0 \to K_S K_S$, which is expected to be large in the Standard Model for two reasons: Flavor-SU(3) symmetry suppresses the tree amplitude which enhances the crucial "penguin-to-tree" ratio and the "penguin" amplitude is dominated by the tree-level $W$ boson exchange between $c$ and $u$ quarks. We find that $|a_{CP}^{\mathrm{dir}} (D^0 \to K_S K_S)|$ can be as large as $1.1 \%$ in the Standard Model. We advocate $D^0 \to K_S K_S$ as a discovery channel for charm CP violation.

The direct CP asymmetry $a_{CP}^{\mathrm{dir}}(D^0\rightarrow K_SK_S)$ involves exchange diagrams which are induced at tree level in the Standard Model. Since the corresponding topological amplitude $E_{KK}$ can be large, $D^0\rightarrow K_SK_S$ is a promising discovery channel for charm CP violation. We estimate the penguin annihilation amplitude with a perturbative calculation and extract the exchange amplitude $E_{KK}$ from a global fit to $D$ branching ratios. Our results are further used to predict the size of mixing-induced CP violation. We obtain $\vert a_{CP}^{\mathrm{dir}}(D^0\rightarrow K_SK_S)\vert \leq 1.1\%$ (95\% C.L.). The same bound applies to the nonuniversal part of the phase between the $D\!-\overline{\!D}\,$ mixing and decay amplitudes. If future data exceed our predictions, this will point to new physics or an enhancement of the penguin annihilation amplitude by QCD dynamics. We briefly discuss the implications of these possibilities for other CP asymmetries.

We find new sum rules between direct CP asymmetries in $D$ meson decays with coefficients that can be determined from a global fit to branching ratio data. Our sum rules eliminate the penguin topologies $P$ and $PA$, which cannot be determined from branching ratios. In this way we can make predictions about direct CP asymmetries in the standard model without ad hoc assumptions on the sizes of penguin diagrams. We consistently include first-order SU(3)$_F$ breaking in the topological amplitudes extracted from the branching ratios. By confronting our sum rules with future precise data from LHCb and Belle~II one will identify or constrain new-physics contributions to $P$ or $PA$. The first sum rule correlates the CP asymmetries $a_{CP}^{\mathrm{dir}}$ in $D^0\to K^+K^-$, $D^0\to π^+π^-$, and $D^0\to π^0π^0$. We study the region of the $a_{CP}^{\mathrm{dir}}(D^0\to π^+π^-)$--$a_{CP}^{\mathrm{dir}} (D^0\to π^0π^0)$ plane allowed by current data and find that our sum rule excludes more than half of the allowed region at 95\% C.L. Our second sum rule correlates the direct CP asymmetries in $D^+\rightarrow \bar{K}^0 K^+$, $D_s^+\rightarrow K^0 π^+$, and $D_s^+\rightarrow K^+π^0$.

We study decays of $D^0$, $D^+$, and $D_s^+$ mesons into two pseudoscalar mesons by expressing the decay amplitudes in terms of topological amplitudes. Including consistently SU(3)$_F$ breaking to linear order, we show how the topological-amplitude decomposition can be mapped onto the standard expansion using reduced amplitudes characterized by SU(3) representations. The tree and annihilation amplitudes can be calculated in factorization up to corrections which are quadratic in the color-counting parameter $1/N_c$. We find new sum rules connecting $D^+\rightarrow K_SK^+$, $D_s^+\rightarrow K_Sπ^+$ and $D^+\rightarrow K^+π^0$, which test the quality of the $1/N_c$ expansion. Subsequently, we determine the topological amplitudes in a global fit to the data, taking the statistical correlations among the various measurements into account. We carry out likelihood ratio tests in order to quantify the role of specific topological contributions. While the SU(3)$_F$ limit is excluded with a significance of more than five standard deviations, a good fit (with $Δχ^2 <1$) can be obtained with less than $28\%$ of SU(3)$_F$ breaking in the decay amplitudes. The magnitude of the penguin amplitude $P_{\mathrm{break}}$, which probes the Glashow Iliopoulos Maiani (GIM) mechanism, is consistent with zero; the hypothesis $P_{\mathrm{break}}=0$ is rejected with a significance of just $0.7σ$. We obtain the Standard-Model correlation between $\mathcal{B}(D^0\rightarrow K_L π^0)$ and $\mathcal{B}(D^0\rightarrow K_Sπ^0)$, which probes doubly Cabibbo-suppressed amplitudes, and find that $\mathcal{B}(D^0\rightarrow K_L π^0)<\mathcal{B}(D^0\rightarrow K_Sπ^0)$ holds with a significance of more than $4σ$. We finally predict $\mathcal{B}(D_s^+\rightarrow K_L K^+)= 0.012^{+0.006}_{-0.002}$ at $3σ$ CL.

An extensive model-independent analysis of B->DD decays is carried out employing SU(3) flavour symmetry, including symmetry-breaking corrections. Several theoretically clean observables are identified which allow for testing the Standard Model. These include the known time-dependent CP asymmetries, the penguin pollution of which can be controlled in this framework, but notably also quasi-isospin relations which are experimentally well accessible and unaffected by symmetry-breaking corrections. Theoretical assumptions can be kept to a minimum and controlled by additional sum rules. Available data are used in global fits to predict the branching ratio for the B0->DsDs decay as well as several CP asymmetries which have not been measured so far, and future prospects are analyzed.

Abstract:
We present updated results of an SU(3)-flavor analysis of D->P P decay data including linear breaking and no further assumptions. The global fit is consistent with nominal (~ 30%) SU(3)F breaking and returns enhanced penguin (triplet) contributions. Their size is driven, in addition to Delta A_{CP}, by the CP asymmetries of D_0->K_S K_S, D_s->K_S pi^+ and D_s->K^+ pi^0 decays. It is therefore espe…

We improve on existing methods to extract B -> K^* form factor ratios at low hadronic recoil from B -> K^* l^+ l^- data on the angular observables F_L, A_T^(2) and P'_4 by adding heavy quark symmetry-based constraints and by investigating the cross talk between low and large recoil. The data-extracted form factor ratios i) provide benchmarks for the lattice and light cone sum rule predictions, the latter of which have been updated including improved uncertainty estimations and ii) allow to improve the predictions for benchmark observables. We find that present data on the forward-backward asymmetry A_FB and the angular observable P'_5 at low recoil are in good agreement with the Standard Model.

We perform a comprehensive SU(3)-flavor analysis of charmed mesons decaying to two pseudoscalar SU(3)-octet mesons. Taking into account SU(3)-breaking effects induced by the splitting of the quark masses, m_s != m_{u,d}, we find that existing data can be described by SU(3)-breaking of the order 30%. The requisite penguin enhancement to accomodate all data on CP violation tends to be even larger than the one extracted from Delta a_{CP}^{dir}(K^+K^-,pi^+pi^-) alone, strengthening explanations beyond the standard model. Despite the large number of matrix elements, correlations between CP asymmetries allow potentially to differentiate between different scenarios for the underlying dynamics, as well as between the standard model and various extensions characterized by SU(3) symmetry and its subgroups. We investigate how improved measurements of the direct CP asymmetries in singly-Cabibbo-suppressed decays can further substantiate the interpretation of the data. We show that particularly informative are the asymmetries in D->pi^+pi^- versus D->K^+K^-, D_s->K_S pi^+ versus D^+->K_S K^+, D^+->pi^+ pi^0, D->pi^0pi^0, and D->K_S K_S.

Recent experimental and theoretical progress regarding B --> K(*) l+ l- decays led to improved bounds on the Wilson coefficients C_9 and C_10 of four-fermion operators of the |Delta B|=|Delta S|=1 effective Hamiltonian. We analyze the resulting implications on squark flavor violation in the MSSM and obtain new constraints on flavor-changing left-right mixing in the up-squark-sector. We find the dimensionless flavor mixing parameter (delta^u_23)_LR, depending on the flavor-diagonal MSSM masses and couplings, to be as low as \lesssim 0.1. This has implications for models based on radiative flavor violation and leads to BR(B_s --> mu+ mu-) \gtrsim 1 x 10^-9. Rare top decays t --> c gamma, t --> c g, t --> c Z have branching ratios predicted to be below \lesssim few times 10^-8, 10^-6 and 10^-7, respectively.

The behavioral specification of an object-oriented grammar model is considered. The model is based on full lexicalization, head-orientation via valency constraints and dependency relations, inheritance as a means for non-redundant lexicon specification, and concurrency of computation. The computation model relies upon the actor paradigm, with concurrency entering through asynchronous message passing between actors. In particular, we here elaborate on principles of how the global behavior of a lexically distributed grammar and its corresponding parser can be specified in terms of event type networks and event networks, resp.
