Abstract: Using $(2712.4 \pm 14.3) \times 10^6~ψ$(3686) events collected with the BESIII detector operating at the BEPCII collider, we search for the hadronic transition $h_c \to π^+π^-J/ψ$ via $ψ(3686)\to π^0 h_c$. No significant signal is observed. Abstract: In this Letter, a systematic study of the weak radiative hyperon decay $Ξ^{0}\toΛγ$ at an electron-positron collider using entangled $Ξ^{0}\barΞ^{0}$ pair events is presented. The absolute branching fraction for this decay has been measured for the first time, and is $\left(1.347 \pm 0.066_{\mathrm stat.}\pm0.054_{\mathrm syst.}\right)\times 10^{-3}$. The absolute branching fraction for this decay has been measured for the first time, and is $\left(1.347 \pm 0.066_{\mathrm stat.}\pm0.054_{\mathrm syst.}\right)\times 10^{-3}$. The decay asymmetry parameter, which characterizes the effect of parity violation in the decay, is determined to be $-0.741 \pm 0.062_{\mathrm stat.}\pm 0.019_{\mathrm syst.}$. The obtained results are consistent with the world average values within the uncertainties, offering valuable insights into the underlying mechanism governing the weak radiative hyperon decays. The charge conjugation parity ($CP$) symmetries of branching fraction and decay asymmetry parameter in the decay are also studied. The study exploits a sample of quantum-correlated $D\bar{D}$ mesons collected by the BESIII experiment in $e^+e^-$ collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 3.773~GeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2.93~fb$^{-1}$. Here, $D$ denotes a neutral charm meson in a superposition of flavor eigenstates. The reported results are valuable for measurements of the $C\!P$-violating phase $γ$ (also denoted $φ_3$) in $B^\pm \to DK^\pm$, $D \to π^+π^-π^+π^-$ decays, and the binning schemes are designed to provide good statistical sensitivity to this parameter. The expected uncertainty on $γ$ arising from the precision of the strong-phase measurements, when applied to very large samples of $B$-meson decays, is around $1.5^\circ$ or $2^\circ$, depending on the binning scheme. The binned strong-phase parameters are combined to give a value of $F_+^{4π} = 0.746 \pm 0.010 \pm 0.004$ for the $C\!P$-even fraction of $D^0 \to π^+π^-π^+π^-$ decays, which is around 30\% more precise than the previous best measurement of this quantity. △ Less

Formation of quasi-single helicity state from a paramagnetic pinch in KTX regime

Abstract: The formation of quasi-single helicity (QSH) state from a paramagnetic pinch in the KTX-RFP regime has been observed in recent NIMROD simulations. The quasi-single helicity state has a dominant helical component of the magnetic field that is known to improve the RFP confinement. For the initial paramagnetic pinch, linear calculations indicate that the tearing mode growth rate decreases with the pl… ▽ More The formation of quasi-single helicity (QSH) state from a paramagnetic pinch in the KTX-RFP regime has been observed in recent NIMROD simulations. The quasi-single helicity state has a dominant helical component of the magnetic field that is known to improve the RFP confinement. For the initial paramagnetic pinch, linear calculations indicate that the tearing mode growth rate decreases with the plasma $β$. The initial QSH state arises from the dominant linear instability of the initial force-free paramagnetic pinch. The plasma's self-organization towards the second QSH state after the relaxation of the initial QSH state is found to depend on $β$. Specifically, when $β<4\%$, the plasma relaxes to an MH state; when $4\% \leq β\leq 8\%$, the plasma first transitions from a double axis (DAx) to a single helical axis (SHAx) state, and eventually return to the DAx state. The existence of such an optimal $β$ regime that is beneficial to the formation and maintenance of the QSH state, suggests an experimental scheme for the QSH formation based on $β$ tuning and control. △ Less

Abstract: In this paper, we establish some Strichartz estimates for orthonormal functions and probabilistic convergence of density functions related to compact operators on manifolds. Firstly, we present the suitable bound of $\int_{a\leq|s|\leq b}e^{isx}s^{-1+iγ}ds(γ\in \mathbb{R},a\geq0,b>0),$ $\int_{a\leq s\leq b}e^{isx}s^{-1+iγ}ds(γ\in \mathbb{R},γ\neq0,a,b\in \mathbb{R})$ and… ▽ More In this paper, we establish some Strichartz estimates for orthonormal functions and probabilistic convergence of density functions related to compact operators on manifolds. Firstly, we present the suitable bound of $\int_{a\leq|s|\leq b}e^{isx}s^{-1+iγ}ds(γ\in \mathbb{R},a\geq0,b>0),$ $\int_{a\leq s\leq b}e^{isx}s^{-1+iγ}ds(γ\in \mathbb{R},γ\neq0,a,b\in \mathbb{R})$ and $\int_{0\leq|s|< +\infty}e^{isx}s^{-1+iγ}ds(γ\in \mathbb{R})$, which extends the result of Page 204 of Vega (199-211,IMA Vol. Math. Appl., 42, 1992.) Secondly, we prove that $\left|γ\int_{a}^{b}e^{isx}s^{-1+iγ}ds\right|\leq C(1+|γ|)^{2}(γ\in \mathbb{R},a,b\in \mathbb{R}),$ where $C$ is independent of $γ,a, b$, which extends Lemma 1 of Bez et al. (Forum of Mathematics, Sigma, 9(2021), 1-52). Thirdly, we extend the result of Theorems 8, 9 of R. Frank, J. Sabin (Amer. J. Math. 139(2017), 1649-1691.) with the aid of the suitable bound of the above complex integrals established in this paper. Fourthly, we establish the Strichartz estimates for orthonormal functions related to Boussinesq operator on the real line for both small time interval and large time interval and on the torus with small time interval; we also establish the convergence result of some compact operators in Schatten norm. Fifthly, we establish the convergence result related to nonlinear part of the solution to some operator equations in Schatten spaces. Finally, inspired by the work of Hadama and Yamamoto (Probabilistic Strichartz estimates in Schatten classes and their applications to Hartree equation, arxiv:2311.02713v1.), for $γ_{0}\in \mathfrak{S}^{2}$, we establish the probabilistic convergence of density functions of compact operator on manifolds with full randomization, which improves the result of Corollary 1.2 of Bez et al. (Selecta Math. 26(2020), 24 pp) in the probabilistic sense. △ Less

Data-Driven Parametrization of Molecular Mechanics Force Fields for Expansive Chemical Space Coverage

It must achieve high accuracy within the constraints of molecular mechanics' (MM) limited functional forms, which offers high computational efficiency. With the rapid expansion of synthetically accessible chemical space, traditional look-up table approaches face significant challenges. In this… ▽ More A force field is a critical component in molecular dynamics simulations for computational drug discovery. It must achieve high accuracy within the constraints of molecular mechanics' (MM) limited functional forms, which offers high computational efficiency. With the rapid expansion of synthetically accessible chemical space, traditional look-up table approaches face significant challenges. In this study, we address this issue using a modern data-driven approach, developing ByteFF, an Amber-compatible force field for drug-like molecules. To create ByteFF, we generated an expansive and highly diverse molecular dataset at the B3LYP-D3(BJ)/DZVP level of theory. This dataset includes 2.4 million optimized molecular fragment geometries with analytical Hessian matrices, along with 3.2 million torsion profiles. We then trained an edge-augmented, symmetry-preserving molecular graph neural network (GNN) on this dataset, employing a carefully optimized training strategy. Our model predicts all bonded and non-bonded MM force field parameters for drug-like molecules simultaneously across a broad chemical space. ByteFF demonstrates state-of-the-art performance on various benchmark datasets, excelling in predicting relaxed geometries, torsional energy profiles, and conformational energies and forces. Its exceptional accuracy and expansive chemical space coverage make ByteFF a valuable tool for multiple stages of computational drug discovery. △ Less

However, these benchmarks may not fully capture a model's code understanding abilities. We introduce CodeJudge-Eval (CJ-Eval), a novel benchmark designed to assess LLMs' code understanding abilities from the perspective of code judging… ▽ More Recent advancements in large language models (LLMs) have showcased impressive code generation capabilities, primarily evaluated through language-to-code benchmarks. Evaluation of 12 well-known LLMs on CJ-Eval reveals that even state-of-the-art models struggle, highlighting the benchmark's ability to probe deeper into models' code understanding abilities. ML algorithms offer advantages by modeling physical phenomena based on data, even in the absence of underlying mechanisms. However, uncertainties such as measurement noise and modeling errors can compromise the reliability of ML predictions, highlighting the need for effective uncertainty awareness to enhance prediction robustness. This paper presents a comprehensive review on navigating uncertainties in ML, categorizing uncertainty-aware approaches into probabilistic methods (including Bayesian and frequentist perspectives) and non-probabilistic methods (such as interval learning and fuzzy learning). Bayesian neural networks, known for their uncertainty quantification and nonlinear mapping capabilities, are emphasized for their superior performance and potential. The review covers various techniques and methodologies for addressing uncertainties in ML, discussing fundamentals and implementation procedures of each method. While providing a concise overview of fundamental concepts, the paper refrains from in-depth critical explanations. Strengths and limitations of each approach are examined, along with their applications in structural dynamic forward problems like response prediction, sensitivity assessment, and reliability analysis, and inverse problems like system identification, model updating, and damage identification. Additionally, the review identifies research gaps and suggests future directions for investigations, aiming to provide comprehensive insights to the research community. We also update the branching fractions of $χ_{cJ}\to ωω$ and $χ_{cJ}\toωφ$ decays via the $ψ(2S)\toγχ_{cJ}$ transition. The branching fractions are determined to be $\mathcal{B}(χ_{c0}\toωω)=(10.63\pm0.11\pm0.46)\times 10^{-4}$, $\mathcal{B}(χ_{c1}\toωω)=(6.39\pm0.07\pm0.29)\times 10^{-4}$, $\mathcal{B}(χ_{c2}\toωω)=(8.50\pm0.08\pm0.38)\times 10^{-4}$, $\mathcal{B}(χ_{c0}\toωφ)=(1.18\pm0.03\pm0.05)\times 10^{-4}$, $\mathcal{B}(χ_{c1}\toωφ)=(2.03\pm0.15\pm0.12)\times 10^{-5}$, and $\mathcal{B}(χ_{c2}\toωφ)=(9.37\pm1.07\pm0.59)\times 10^{-6}$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second are systematic. △ Less

Constructing accurate and efficient general-purpose atomistic machine learning model with transferable accuracy for quantum chemistry

However, the advent of atomistic machine learning (ML) is reshaping the landscape by enabling large-scale dynamics simulations and high-throughput screening at DF… ▽ More Density Functional Theory (DFT) has been a cornerstone in computational science, providing powerful insights into structure-property relationships for molecules and materials through first-principles quantum-mechanical (QM) calculations. However, the advent of atomistic machine learning (ML) is reshaping the landscape by enabling large-scale dynamics simulations and high-throughput screening at DFT-equivalent accuracy with drastically reduced computational cost. Yet, the development of general-purpose atomistic ML models as surrogates for QM calculations faces several challenges, particularly in terms of model capacity, data efficiency, and transferability across chemically diverse systems. This work introduces a novel extension of the polarizable atom interaction neural network (namely, XPaiNN) to address these challenges. Two distinct training strategies have been employed, one direct-learning and the other $Δ$-ML on top of a semi-empirical QM method. These methodologies have been implemented within the same framework, allowing for a detailed comparison of their results. The XPaiNN models, in particular the one using $Δ$-ML, not only demonstrate competitive performance on standard benchmarks, but also demonstrate the effectiveness against other ML models and QM methods on comprehensive downstream tasks, including non-covalent interactions, reaction energetics, barrier heights, geometry optimization and reaction thermodynamics, etc. This work represents a significant step forward in the pursuit of accurate and efficient atomistic ML models of general-purpose, capable of handling complex chemical systems with transferable accuracy. △ Less

From these results, we obtain the branching fractions ${\mathcal B}$($D^+\to (K_S^0π^0)_{S\text{-}{\rm wave}}~e^+ν_e$) = $(5.41~\pm~0.35_{\rm stat.}~\pm~0.37_{\rm syst.})\times10^{-4}$ and ${\mathcal B}$($D^+\to \bar K^{*}(892)^0e^+ν_e$) = $(4.97~\pm~0.11_{\rm stat.}~\pm~0.12_{\rm syst.})$\%. In addition, the hadronic form-factor ratios of $D^{+} \to \bar {K}^{*}(892)^0e^+ν_e$ at $q^2=0$, assuming a single-pole dominance parameterization, are determined to be $r_V=\frac{V(0)}{A_1(0)}= 1.43~\pm~0.07_{\rm stat.}~\pm~0.03_{\rm syst.}$ and $r_2=\frac{A_2(0)}{A_1(0)}=0.72~\pm~0.06_{\rm stat.}~\pm~0.02_{\rm syst.}$. △ Less

Here, ${\cal B}$ is the branching fraction of $ψ(2S)\rightarrowγπ^{0}$ and $φ$ is the relative phase angle between the $ψ(2S)$ and continuum amplitudes. Using a recent BESIII measurement of $\mathcal{B} (η_{c}(2S) \to K^{+} K^{-}π^{0})$, we also determine the ratio between the branching fractions of $η_{c}(2S) \to K^{+} K^{-}η$ and $η_{c}(2S) \to K^{+} K^{-}π^{0}$ to be $1.49 \pm 0.22 \pm 0.25$, which is consistent with the previous result of BaBar at a comparable precision level. △ Less

The decay $D^0\to b_1(1235)^-e^{+}ν_{e}$ is observed with a significance of 5.2$σ$ after considering systematic uncertainty, while evidence for the decay $D^+\to b_1(1235)^0 e^+ν_e$ is obtained with a 3.1$σ$ significance. The product branching fractions are determined to be ${\mathcal B}(D^0\to b_{1}(1235)^-e^{+}ν_{e})\times {\mathcal B} (b_1(1235)^-\to ωπ^-) = (0.72\pm0.18^{+0.06}_{-0.08})\times10^{-4}$ and ${\mathcal B}(D^+\to b_{1}(1235)^0e^{+}ν_{e})\times {\mathcal B} (b_1(1235)^0~\to ωπ^0) = (1.16\pm0.44\pm0.16)\times10^{-4}$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. The ratio of their partial decay widths is determined to be $\frac{Γ(D^0\to b_{1}(1235)^-e^{+}ν_{e})}{2Γ(D^+\to b_{1}(1235)^0e^{+}ν_{e})}=0.78\pm0.19^{+0.04}_{-0.05}$, which is consistent with unity, predicted by isospin invariance, within uncertainties. △ Less

TCGPN: Temporal-Correlation Graph Pre-trained Network for Stock Forecasting

Spatio-Temporal Graph Neural Networks (STGNNs) demonstrate good performance on many Temporal-correlation Forecasting Problem. However, when applied to tasks lacking periodicity, such as stock data prediction, the effectiveness and robustness of STGNNs are found to be unsatisfactory. And STGNNs are limited by memory savings so that cannot handle problems with a large number of nodes. In this paper, we propose a novel approach called the Temporal-Correlation Graph Pre-trained Network (TCGPN) to address these limitations. TCGPN utilize Temporal-correlation fusion encoder to get a mixed representation and pre-training method with carefully designed temporal and correlation pre-training tasks. Entire structure is independent of the number and order of nodes, so better results can be obtained through various data enhancements. And memory consumption during training can be significantly reduced through multiple sampling. Experiments are conducted on real stock market data sets CSI300 and CSI500 that exhibit minimal periodicity. We fine-tune a simple MLP in downstream tasks and achieve state-of-the-art results, validating the capability to capture more robust temporal correlation patterns. △ Less

For example, researchers use log data to develop systems that can provide students with personalized problem recommendations based on their knowledge level. For example, researchers use log data to develop systems that can provide students with personalized problem recommendations based on their knowledge level. However, anomalies in the students log data, such as cheating to solve programming problems, could introduce a hidden bias in the log data. As a result, these systems may provide inaccurate problem recommendations, and therefore, defeat their purpose. Classical cheating detection methods, such as MOSS, can be used to detect code plagiarism. However, these methods cannot detect other abnormal events such as a student gaming a system with multiple attempts of similar solutions to a particular programming problem. This paper presents a preliminary study to analyze log data with anomalies. An Improved Method for Class-specific Keyword Extraction: A Case Study in the German Business Registry

In this work, we propose an improved method for class-specific keyword extraction, which builds upon the popular $\textbf{KeyBERT}$ library to identify only keywords related to a class described by $\textit{seed keywords}$. We test this method using a dataset of German business registry entries, where the goal is to classify each business according to an economic sector. In this paper, we propose a novel semi-supervised active domain adaptation (SS-ADA) framework for semantic segmentation that employs an image-level acquisition strategy. SS-ADA integrates active learning into semi-supervised semantic segmentation to achieve the accuracy of supervised learning with a limited amount of labeled data from the target domain. Additionally, we design an IoU-based class weighting strategy to alleviate the class imbalance problem using annotations from active learning. We conducted extensive experiments on synthetic-to-real and real-to-real domain adaptation settings. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of our method. SS-ADA can achieve or even surpass the accuracy of its supervised learning counterpart with only 25% of the target labeled data when using a real-time segmentation model. The branching fraction product $\mathcal{B}(Λ_{c}^{+} \to Λa_0(980)^+) \; \mathcal{B}( a_0(980)^+ \to π^{+}η)$ is determined to be $(1.05 \pm 0.16_{\mathrm{stat}} \pm 0.05_{\mathrm{syst}} \pm 0.07_{\mathrm{ext}})\%$, which is larger than theoretical calculations by $1 - 2$ orders of magnitude. Here the third (external) systematic is from $\mathcal{B}(Λ_{c}^{+} \to Λπ^+ η)$. Taking the value of $|V_{cs}|$ from a global fit in the Standard Model, we obtain ${f_{D^+_s}}=(252.8\pm6.0_{\rm stat}\pm3.7_{\rm syst}\pm0.6_{\rm input})_{μν}$ MeV and ${f_{D^+_s}}=(259.2\pm3.6_{\rm stat}\pm4.5_{\rm syst}\pm0.6_{\rm input})_{τν}$ MeV, respectively. Conversely, taking the value for $f_{D_s^+}$ from the latest lattice quantum chromodynamics calculation, we obtain $|V_{cs}| =(0.986\pm0.023_{\rm stat}\pm0.014_{\rm syst}\pm0.003_{\rm input})_{μν}$ and $|V_{cs}| = (1.011\pm0.014_{\rm stat}\pm0.018_{\rm syst}\pm0.003_{\rm input})_{τν}$, respectively. △ Less

After an optimized selection, a simultaneous fit to the Belle and Belle II data sets yields $114\pm 12$ $B^{+}\rightarrowρ^{+}γ$ and $99\pm 12$ $B^{0}\rightarrowρ^{0}γ$ decays. The measured branching fractions are $(13.1^{+2.0 +1.3}_{-1.9 -1.2})\times 10^{-7}$ and $(7.5\pm 1.3^{+1.0}_{-0.8})\times 10^{-7}$ for $B^{+}\rightarrowρ^{+}γ$ and $B^{0}\rightarrowρ^{0}γ$ decays, respectively, where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic. Existing methods, such as estimating uncertainty using answer likelihoods or prompt-based confidence generation, often suffer from overconfidence. Other methods use self-consistency comparison but are affected by confirmation biases. To alleviate these, we propose \textbf{De}compose and \textbf{C}ompare \textbf{C}onsistency (\texttt{DeCC}) for reliability measurement. By comparing the consistency between the direct answer generated using the VLM's internal reasoning process, and the indirect answers obtained by decomposing the question into sub-questions and reasoning over the sub-answers produced by the VLM, \texttt{DeCC} measures the reliability of VLM's direct answer. Experiments across six vision-language tasks with three VLMs show \texttt{DeCC}'s reliability estimation achieves better correlation with task accuracy compared to the existing methods. △ Less

Text2VP: Generative AI for Visual Programming and Parametric Modeling

However, no models exist for text-to-parametric models that are used in architectural design for generating various design options, including free-form designs, and optimizing the design options. This study creates and investigates an innovative application of generative AI in parametric modeling by leveraging a customized Text-to-Visual Programming (Text2VP) GPT derived from GPT-4. The primary focus is on automating the generation of graph-based visual programming workflows, including parameters and the links among the parameters, through AI-generated scripts, accurately reflecting users' design intentions and allowing the users to change the parameter values interactively. The Text2VP GPT customization process utilizes detailed and complete documentation of the visual programming language components, example-driven few-shot learning, and specific instructional guides. Our testing demonstrates Text2VP's capability to generate working parametric models. The paper also discusses the limitations of Text2VP; for example, more complex parametric model generation introduces higher error rates. This research highlights the potential of generative AI in visual programming and parametric modeling and sets a foundation for future enhancements to handle more sophisticated and intricate modeling tasks effectively. The absolute branching fractions of $D_{s1}(2536)^- \rightarrow \bar{D}^{*0}K^-$ and $D_{s2}^*(2573)^- \rightarrow \bar{D}^0K^-$ are measured for the first time to be $(35.9\pm 4.8\pm 3.5)\%$ and $(37.4\pm 3.1\pm 4.6)\%$, respectively. The measurements are in tension with predictions based on the assumption that the $D_{s1}(2536)$ and $D_{s2}^*(2573)$ are dominated by a bare $c\bar{s}$ component. The $e^+e^-\rightarrow D_s^+D_{s1}(2536)^-$ and $e^+e^-\rightarrow D_s^+D^*_{s2}(2573)^-$ cross sections are measured, and a resonant structure at around 4.6~GeV with a width of 50~MeV is observed for the first time with a statistical significance of $15σ$ in the $e^+e^-\rightarrow D_s^+D^*_{s2}(2573)^-$ process. It could be the $Y(4626)$ found by the Belle collaboration in the $D_s^+D_{s1}(2536)^{-}$ final state, since they have similar masses and widths. There is also evidence for a structure at around 4.75~GeV in both processes. △ Less

HumanRefiner: Benchmarking Abnormal Human Generation and Refining with Coarse-to-fine Pose-Reversible Guidance

However, these models usually struggle with accurately rendering images featuring humans, resulting in distorted limbs and other anomalies. This issue primarily stems from the insufficient recognition and evaluation of limb qualities in diffusion models. To address this issue, we introduce AbHuman, the firs… ▽ More Text-to-image diffusion models have significantly advanced in conditional image generation. However, these models usually struggle with accurately rendering images featuring humans, resulting in distorted limbs and other anomalies. This issue primarily stems from the insufficient recognition and evaluation of limb qualities in diffusion models. To address this issue, we introduce AbHuman, the first large-scale synthesized human benchmark focusing on anatomical anomalies. This benchmark consists of 56K synthesized human images, each annotated with detailed, bounding-box level labels identifying 147K human anomalies in 18 different categories. Based on this, the recognition of human anomalies can be established, which in turn enhances image generation through traditional techniques such as negative prompting and guidance. To further boost the improvement, we propose HumanRefiner, a novel plug-and-play approach for the coarse-to-fine refinement of human anomalies in text-to-image generation. Specifically, HumanRefiner utilizes a self-diagnostic procedure to detect and correct issues related to both coarse-grained abnormal human poses and fine-grained anomaly levels, facilitating pose-reversible diffusion generation. Experimental results on the AbHuman benchmark demonstrate that HumanRefiner significantly reduces generative discrepancies, achieving a 2.9x improvement in limb quality compared to the state-of-the-art open-source generator SDXL and a 1.4x improvement over DALL-E 3 in human evaluations. Self-deployable contracting-cord metamaterials with tunable mechanical properties

However, designing metamaterials that possess continuously tunable mechanical properties after self-deployment remains a challenge, notwithstanding its importance. Inspired by push puppets, we introduce an efficient design strategy to create reversibly self-deployable metamaterials with continuously tunable post-deployment stiffness and damping. Our metamaterial comprises contracting actuators threaded through beads with matching conical concavo-convex interfaces in networked chains. The slack network conforms to arbitrary shapes, but when actuated, it self-assembles into a preprogrammed configuration with beads gathered together. Further contraction of the actuators can dynamically tune the assembly's mechanical properties through the beads' particle jamming, while maintaining the overall structure with minimal change. We show that, after deployment, such metamaterials exhibit pronounced tunability in bending-dominated configurations: they can become more than 35 times stiffer and change their damping capability by over 50%. Through systematic analysis, we find that the beads'conical angle can introduce geometric nonlinearity, which has a major effect on the self-deployability and tunability of the metamaterial. Our work provides routes towards reversibly self-deployable, lightweight, and tunable metamaterials, with potential applications in soft robotics, reconfigurable architectures, and space engineering. △ Less

Abstract: We report the first evidence for the $h_{b}(\text{2P}) \to Υ(\text{1S})η$ transition with a significance of $3.5$ standard deviations. The decay branching fraction is measured to be $\mathcal{B}[h_{b}(\text{2P}) \to Υ(\text{1S})η]=(7.1 ~^{+3.7} _{-3.2}\pm 0.8)\times10^{-3}$, which is noticeably smaller than expected. The branching fractions of the two decays $J/ψ\to p \bar{p} η(η\to γγ)$ and $J/ψ\to p \bar{p} η(η\to π^+ π^- π^0)$ are measured individually to be… ▽ More A high precision measurement of the branching fraction of the decay $J/ψ\to p \bar{p} η$ is performed using $(10 087 \pm 44) \times 10^6$ $J/ψ$ events recorded by the {BESIII} detector at the {BEPCII} storage ring. The branching fractions of the two decays $J/ψ\to p \bar{p} η(η\to γγ)$ and $J/ψ\to p \bar{p} η(η\to π^+ π^- π^0)$ are measured individually to be $\mathcal{B}(J/ψ\to p \bar{p} η(η\to γγ)) = (1.480 \pm 0.001 \pm 0.024)\times\,10^{-3}$ and $\mathcal{B}(J/ψ\to p \bar{p} η(η\to π^+ π^- π^0)) = (1.557 \pm 0.003 \pm 0.038)\times\,10^{-3}$, where the first uncertainties are statistical and the second systematic. Both results are compatible within their uncorrelated systematic uncertainties. The combined result is $\mathcal{B}(J/ψ\to p \bar{p} η)=(1.495 \pm 0.001 \pm 0.023)\times\,10^{-3}$ where the first uncertainty is the combined statistical uncertainty and the second one the combined systematic uncertainty of both analyses, incorporating correlations between them. In addition, the $p \bar{p}$ threshold region is investigated for a potential threshold enhancement, and no evidence for one is observed. △ Less

Abstract: A series of data samples was collected with the Belle II detector at the SuperKEKB collider from March 2019 to June 2022. Abstract: We search for excited charmed baryons in the $Λ_c^+η$ system using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 980 $\rm fb^{-1}$. The data were collected by the Belle detector at the KEKB $e^{+}$$e^{-}$ asymmetric-energy collider. No significant signals are found in the $Λ_c^+η$ mass spectrum, including the known $Λ_c(2880)^+$ and $Λ_c(2940)^+$. ClinicalLab: Aligning Agents for Multi-Departmental Clinical Diagnostics in the Real World

However, LLMs still struggle to meet the strict requirements for accuracy and reliability in the medical field and face many challenges in clinical applications. Existing clinical diagnostic evaluation benchmarks for evaluating medical agents powered by LLMs have severe limitations. Firstly, most existing medical eval… ▽ More LLMs have achieved significant performance progress in various NLP applications. However, LLMs still struggle to meet the strict requirements for accuracy and reliability in the medical field and face many challenges in clinical applications. Existing clinical diagnostic evaluation benchmarks for evaluating medical agents powered by LLMs have severe limitations. Firstly, most existing medical evaluation benchmarks face the risk of data leakage or contamination. Secondly, existing benchmarks often neglect the characteristics of multiple departments and specializations in modern medical practice. Thirdly, existing evaluation methods are limited to multiple-choice questions, which do not align with the real-world diagnostic scenarios. Lastly, existing evaluation methods lack comprehensive evaluations of end-to-end real clinical scenarios. These limitations in benchmarks in turn obstruct advancements of LLMs and agents for medicine. To address these limitations, we introduce ClinicalLab, a comprehensive clinical diagnosis agent alignment suite. ClinicalLab includes ClinicalBench, an end-to-end multi-departmental clinical diagnostic evaluation benchmark for evaluating medical agents and LLMs. ClinicalBench is based on real cases that cover 24 departments and 150 diseases. ClinicalLab also includes four novel metrics (ClinicalMetrics) for evaluating the effectiveness of LLMs in clinical diagnostic tasks. We evaluate 17 LLMs and find that their performance varies significantly across different departments. Based on these findings, in ClinicalLab, we propose ClinicalAgent, an end-to-end clinical agent that aligns with real-world clinical diagnostic practices. We systematically investigate the performance and applicable scenarios of variants of ClinicalAgent on ClinicalBench. Our findings demonstrate the importance of aligning with modern medical practices in designing medical agents. △ Less

Abstract: Using a sample of $(10087\pm 44)\times10^{6}$ $J/ψ$ events collected by the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider, we search for the decay $X(1870)\to K^+ K^-η$ via the $J/ψ\to ωK^+ K^- η$ process for the first time. No significant $X(1870)$ signal is observed. A Plug-and-Play Untrained Neural Network for Full Waveform Inversion in Reconstructing Sound Speed Images of Ultrasound Computed Tomography

Abstract: Ultrasound computed tomography (USCT), as an emerging technology, can provide multiple quantitative parametric images of human tissue, such as sound speed and attenuation images, distinguishing it from conventional B-mode (reflection) ultrasound imaging. Full waveform inversion (FWI) is acknowledged as a technique with the greatest potential for reconstructing high-resolution sound speed images in… ▽ More Ultrasound computed tomography (USCT), as an emerging technology, can provide multiple quantitative parametric images of human tissue, such as sound speed and attenuation images, distinguishing it from conventional B-mode (reflection) ultrasound imaging. Full waveform inversion (FWI) is acknowledged as a technique with the greatest potential for reconstructing high-resolution sound speed images in USCT. However, traditional FWI for sound speed image reconstruction suffers from high sensitivity to the initial model caused by its strong non-convex nonlinearity, resulting in poor performance when ultrasound signals are at high frequencies. This limitation significantly restricts the application of FWI in the USCT imaging field. In this paper, we propose an untrained neural network (UNN) that can be integrated into the traditional iteration-based FWI framework as an implicit regularization prior. This integration allows for seamless deployment as a plug-and-play module within existing FWI algorithms or their variants. Notably, the proposed UNN method can be trained in an unsupervised fashion, a vital aspect in medical imaging where ground truth data is often unavailable. Evaluations of the numerical simulation and phantom experiment of the breast demonstrate that the proposed UNN improves the robustness of image reconstruction, reduces image artifacts, and achieves great image contrast. Observation of $η_{c}$(1S, 2S) and $χ_{cJ}$ decays to 2$(π^{+}π^{-})η$ via $ψ$(3686) radiative transitions

Abstract: Based on $2.7 \times 10^9~ψ(3686)$ decays collected with the BESIII detector, the radiative decay $ψ(3686)\to\gamma2(π^{+}π^{-})η$ is investigated to measure properties of S- and P-wave charmonium states. The branching fraction of the decay $η_{c}(1S) \to 2(π^{+}π^{-})η$, which is found to have a strong dependence on the interference pattern between $η_c(1S)$ and non-$η_c(1S)$ processes, is measur… ▽ More Based on $2.7 \times 10^9~ψ(3686)$ decays collected with the BESIII detector, the radiative decay $ψ(3686)\to\gamma2(π^{+}π^{-})η$ is investigated to measure properties of S- and P-wave charmonium states. The branching fraction of the decay $η_{c}(1S) \to 2(π^{+}π^{-})η$, which is found to have a strong dependence on the interference pattern between $η_c(1S)$ and non-$η_c(1S)$ processes, is measured in both destructive and constructive interference scenarios for the first time. The mass and width of the $η_{c}(1S)$ are measured to be $M=(2984.14 \pm 0.13 \pm 0.38)$ MeV/$c^{2}$ and $Γ=(28.82 \pm 0.11 \pm 0.82)$ MeV, respectively. Clear signals for the decays of the $χ_{cJ}(J=0,1,2)$ and the $η_{c}(2S)$ to $2(π^{+}π^{-})η$ are also observed for the first time, and the corresponding branching fractions are measured. The ratio of the branching fractions between the $η_{c}(2S)$ and $η_{c}(1S)$ decays is significantly lower than the theoretical prediction, which might suggest different dynamics in their decays. △ Less

Strong and weak $CP$ tests in sequential decays of polarized $Σ^0$ hyperons

Measurement of the integrated luminosity of the data collected at 3.773 GeV by BESIII from 2021 to 2024

The integrated luminosities of the data sets taken from December 2021 to June 2022, from November 2022 to June 2023, and from October 2023 to February 2024 are determined to be $4.995 \pm 0.019$~fb$^{-1}$,… ▽ More We present a measurement of the integrated luminosity of $e^+e^-$ collision data collected with the BESIII detector at the BEPCII collider at a center-of-mass energy of $E_{\rm cm} = 3.773$~GeV. The integrated luminosities of the data sets taken from December 2021 to June 2022, from November 2022 to June 2023, and from October 2023 to February 2024 are determined to be $4.995 \pm 0.019$~fb$^{-1}$, $8.157 \pm 0.031$~fb$^{-1}$, and $4.191 \pm 0.016$~fb$^{-1}$, respectively, by analyzing large angle Bhabha scattering events. The uncertainties are dominated by systematic effects and the statistical uncertainties are negligible. Our results provide essential input for future analyses and precision measurements. △ Less
