We recently concluded this year’s S-100 operations in Germany for the European Maritime Safety Agency supporting the German Federal Police and the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency of Germany in the North Sea. Stationed on the vessel POTSDAM, the CAMCOPTER S-100 achieved an availability of 98%!
This summer, we’re supporting the German Federal Police and the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency of Germany with our RPAS service in the North Sea. The RPAS will fly from the German Federal Police vessel POTSDAM. It will carry out emissions monitoring and general maritime surveillance in one of the busiest maritime regions in the world – which is also part of a sulphur emissions control area. The RPAS can measure the sulphur content in ships’ emissions to calculate the possible percentage of sulphur in the fuel used. This can help inspectors to identify vessels that are not complying with the sulphur limits. Find out more about EMSA’s RPAS services: https://lnkd.in/dtwcNx9K
