ARC EDIT is looking for a creative, technically-savvy and eager-to-learn individual to join our team as a full-time Online/VFX Assistant. A high-end post-production facility with offices in both Sydney & Melbourne, we edit, colour grade and finish creative advertising, film, television & digital content. The role is perfectly suited for someone with 1-2 years’ experience in post who is looking to expand their skillset, learn from top-tier industry talent, and progress their career in VFX/finishing. Working closely with our incredible team of in-house and freelance VFX artists and operators, you will be responsible for; - Liaising with our editors, producers and assistants to guide projects seamlessly from offline edit, through to colour grade, VFX & finishing. - Coordinating & managing data pipelines to ensure media moves between suites, artists and external suppliers seamlessly - Preparing projects for our artists by conforming edits, as well as prepping graphics, audio & other online assets - Prepping paint, rotoscoping & tracking bid documents - Assigning shot codes, and prepping VFX Breakdown QTs and documents re-striping audio and revising supers, disclaimers & graphics in Autodesk Flame - Mastering and tech-checking as well as encoding pre-rolls to various file specs - Organising project archiving & unarchiving via LTO-tape undertaking training to learn new skills and continuously expand your knowledge-base The ideal candidate will; - Have a working knowledge of conforming in Davinci Resolve & Autodesk Flame - Have an excellent knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, especially After Effects, Photoshop & Premiere - Have a good understanding of the MS office suite, particularly Excel be highly-organised and capable of working across multiple projects & deadlines at any one time - Have the ability to respond to changing priorities - Work calmly and constructively under pressure - Be proactive, organised, diligent and methodical - Have excellent communication skills and ability to speak confidently with clients, directors, external suppliers and staff at all levels.
