Recently CPS delivered 4000 of our SKF equipped, reliable, durable conveyor rollers in just 21 days for a site in Western Australia. How do we do it? "We manufacture in volume typically anywhere from 5000 to 8000 rollers a week and that’s running on mainly a day shift, an afternoon shift and a skeleton shift (from 10pm to 6am) so we’re running at I guess around about a third of our capacity, so we’ve got that sprint availability to meet any urgent customer demands and obviously any projects that come along." To prove that the CPS team REALLY know everything about “rollers” our crew took to the greens at Hollywood Subiaco Bowling Club for a social bowls afternoon to make the most of our eastern and southern states team members visiting our Perth facilities. While the “rollers” we were hurling weren’t exactly yellow (and certainly didn’t run as straight as our Yeloroll) it was awesome to have face-to-face time with colleagues who are normally stuck on the other side of a screen... and to talk about big things in store for 2025 and beyond. #rollers #teambuilding

At CPS we’re proud to make sustainable choices every day. Since 2021 CPS has supported the Trillion Trees Australia organisation allowing them to plant just shy of 280,000 trees during the sponsorship period, as well as contributing to the running of their community nursery which is 100% volunteer run and tackles important societal issues such as social isolation, inclusivity, diversity and suicide prevention. In July our team visited the Mandoon Moitch Restoration Project, located on the banks of the Derbal Yerrigan (Swan River) for a tree planting day. We were treated to an unseasonably beautiful crisp sunny day where we managed to plant 1960 trees as part of the ongoing work to rehabilitate this remnant wetland. #environmentalsustainability #futureofmining

In 2020, a client in Western Australia contracted CPS to assess the situation of their steel rollers and implement a strategy to solve the increased downtime and idler failures that the site was experiencing. Upon evaluation, the CPS team suggested implementing a composite bulk changeout—installing a total of 4,561 Yeloroll HD carry rollers, 344 Polyurethane Sleeve Impact rollers, and 880 Polyurethane Ring Returns. After 18 months, and with the bulk changeout strategy completed, roller failures are less than a quarter of what they were from 2016 to2019, and tonnes lost have dropped to only 35,000 tonnes, down from 177,000, significantly increasing site productivity and reducing downtime due to roller changeouts.
