    What level of Crypto Nativeness are you? 💡 There are basically 3 categories of talent profiles in the industry, each have their "pros & cons": 1️⃣ - The "Normie": Traditional/institutional background, training & habits, can bring methods and ideas that are proven to work outside of Cryptos. Can have great impact depending on the product and market. 2️⃣ - The "Crypto Native": Once a "Normie" who pivoted their career towards Web3. Comes from Big Tech or Big Finance then got hired by a top player in the industry. Often preferred by well funded startups/big projects, they're in high demand and don't come cheap. 3️⃣ - The "Degen": Often comes from diverse backgrounds, lives and breath cryptos, deep knowledge of the ecosystem and most importantly always up to date with the latest advancements in the space. Can bring vision & creativity to a new project and a spark of "je ne sais quoi".     Crypto Hiring Managers: Be Nimble. Have a Fast-track option for Top Candidates I’ve been seeing this a lot lately: crypto projects with long, drawn-out interview processes are losing top candidates to more nimble competitors. It’s frustrating to watch because I know how much effort goes into finding you the right people.   Look, I get it—due diligence is important, and you want to make sure the person is the right fit. But sometimes, when a great candidate shows up, you just KNOW they’re The One. That’s when it pays to have a fast-track option in your process, so you can move quickly without sacrificing quality.   From the candidate’s side, it can feel pretty discouraging when they trust a project, invest their time, and then are kept waiting while the project keeps looking for “someone better.” Or worse, when they have to go through endless rounds of interviews with multiple people and they miss out. Many people fell they've been burned this way and they will jump on a bird-in-the-hand offer.     Long due diligence feels outdated in a fast-moving space like crypto. In this industry, being nimble matters. Streamlining your hiring process doesn’t mean skipping important steps, it just means being ready to act when the right person comes along. Otherwise, you might find yourself missing out on that key hire who’s already moved on to the bird-in-the hand!   Be Nimble. Have a Fast-track option.
