  • You might have a brilliant idea, but without testing it, it remains just a concept. You can accumulate all the knowledge in the world, but if you don't apply it, it stays theoretical. Keeping your concept on paper means it'll never evolve into something practical. Regardless of whether it works, every outcome offers valuable lessons. Do you agree? #Value #Lessons #HunterExecutiveSearch #IntoWorkAustralia

  • Last month, 40,000 people in Australia found a job or went back to work, while the number of unemployed fell by 9,000. This helped lower the unemployment rate to 4%. Successful rates like this from Australia have made the UN Labour Body, the International Labour Organisation (ILO), a bit more optimistic about the global unemployment rate. At the start of 2024, the ILO thought the global unemployment rate would go up from 5% in 2023 to 5.2% this year. They expected more people in rich countries to be out of work. However, due to lower unemployment rates reported in China, India and several high-income nations, the ILO revised its forecast, now expecting the global rate to decrease to 4.9% this year. In Australia, while the unemployment rate isn’t as low as in previous years, it remains better than pre-pandemic levels. Bjorn Jarvis, the head of labour statistics at the Australian Bureau of Statistics, noted, "the employment-to-population ratio and participation rate both continue to be much higher than their pre-pandemic levels.” “Together with elevated levels of job vacancies, this suggests the labour market remains relatively tight, though less than in late 2022 and early 2023," Mr Jarvis said. Do you think this trend will keep up in the new financial year in Australia? #employment #unemployment #jobs #success #growth #hunterexecutive #intoworkaustralia

  • Do you believe conflicts are purely negative or do you think they can help your team grow? Conflicts are a common aspect of most jobs and are nearly unavoidable in any workplace. According to a CPP Global Study, an overwhelming majority of employees (85%)—regardless of their position—will encounter conflicts at work. So, what's the best approach for leaders? Should they avoid disagreements altogether or equip their teams with the tools to manage conflicts through open communication and constructive feedback? Given that conflicts are almost inevitable, it seems wise to prepare your team with effective strategies and skills that can transform challenges into opportunities for development. Inc. Australia recommends a few proactive steps: ➡️ Conduct workshops and training sessions to enhance skills in constructive disagreement among team members and managers. ➡️ Cultivate a workplace environment where individuals feel encouraged to express their opinions without fear of judgement or repercussions. ➡️ Help team members view conflicts as a chance to innovate and improve. What other strategies can leaders implement to help their teams handle conflicts positively? #Conflict #Management #Leadeership #Appointments #Executives #Growth #HunterExecutive #IntoWorkAustralia

  • It's crucial to prepare your employees and the broader community for the imminent future, as significant changes are approaching rapidly. According to the World Economic Forum, AI and technology are poised to transform 23% of global jobs within the next five years. Predictions indicate a potential equilibrium between job growth and decline in the coming years. "However, if current trends continue, outdated learning programmes will further exacerbate the skills mismatch in the future," said the Forum. Research by the Forum and PWC suggests that investments in adult reskilling and upskilling could boost global GDP by $6.5 trillion over six years. Yet, currently, only 0.5% of global GDP is allocated to these crucial initiatives. "Organisations have to act differently. Creating shareholder value can only be done in conjunction with taking care of employees, customers and communities. And that includes the responsibility to help people learn new skills, adapt for future jobs and to become creators of talent," said Jonas Prising, CEO of ManpowerGroup. We'd love to hear your thoughts. What's your perspective on these developments? #Technology #Future #Growth #Community #Leadership #Executive #HunterExecutive #IntoWorkAustralia
