🔥 NAIDOC Week: Keep the Fire Burning - Blak, Loud and Proud 🔥 This NAIDOC Week, we celebrate the fire that symbolises the enduring strength and vitality of Indigenous cultures. This flame represents the connection to the land, to each other, and to the rich tapestry of traditions defining Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.    Today, we proudly shine a light on our Founder and Managing Director, Steve Noy. Steve, a proud Ualarai man of the Muruwari people from North Western New South Wales, has led Biodiversity Australia for over 22 years, growing it from a startup to a national professional organisation with over 120 experts who deliver services globally.   Steve's vision at Biodiversity Australia includes the integration of Indigenous participation and culturally ethical practices into our company. Our Indigenous Engagement Policy and the Indigenous Pathways Model—a training and employment program—are testaments to this commitment. By incorporating traditional knowledge into our environmental management practices, we create tangible opportunities for Indigenous individuals and strengthen our workforce.   Steve's leadership philosophy embodies diversity, inclusion, and innovation. His active involvement in Indigenous advocacy and innovation groups drives environmental and Indigenous participation outcomes on a global scale. By mentoring and fostering relationships with Local Communities and Traditional Owners, Steve ensures that our work benefits all stakeholders.   Join us in celebrating NAIDOC Week and the fire that keeps Indigenous cultures vibrant and proud. Let's keep the fire burning! 🔥 #NAIDOC2024 #BlakLoudProud #KeepTheFireBurning #IndigenousExcellence #BiodiversityAustralia
