Changing the world of sensing
Über uns
Nomad Atomics is developing a suite of compact, low cost, quantum sensor to address the shortcomings of current commercially available sensors. The venture aims to solve outstanding problems across numerous market segments such as inertial navigation and underground fluid monitoring where poor long-term data quality is the limiting figure of merit. This will be accomplished through the introduction of high precision, compact, drift free quantum sensors into targeted commercial markets.

Nomad Atomics is proud to be part of a vibrant quantum community in Australia and this year's Quantum Australia conference provided another wonderful opportunity to connect with and learn from other members of the quantum ecosystem. Kerrie Jackson, our Head of Business Development, participated in the panel "Investing for Commercialisation" alongside industry leaders, Bill Bartee, Christophe Jurczak, Tom Stace and Hugh Durrant-Whyte. The panel explored the importance of both public and private investment for the commercialisation of quantum technologies and the critical role of first customers. We would like to thank Sydney Quantum Academy for the opportunity to be part of this important conversation. #QA2024 #innovation #quantumtechnology #commercialisation Photo 📷 : Sydney Quantum Academy

We were thrilled to participate at “Quantum Meets Resources” last week! Hosted by Australia’s Chief Scientist, Dr. Cathy Foley, this event explored the convergence of quantum technologies and the Resource sector. Quantum capabilities are no longer science fiction; they’re rapidly becoming a reality. These innovations hold immense potential for the Resources industry from monitoring underground dynamics to navigation in GPS-denied environments. Our Lead Quantum Physicist Dr. Silvana Palacios was part of the exciting discussion "Where are you located? - Geopositioning". #QuantumTechnology #MiningInnovation #ResourceExploration #NomadAtomics

It was a great way to close out the year having the German Ambassador, Beate Grzeski, and Head of Science and Innovation, Julia Kaute visit the Nomad Atomics Canberra office this week. We are looking forward to continuing to grow our links and collaborations in Germany through Nomad Atomics GmbH in 2024.

Thrilled to announce that last week we were selected as the winner of the Engineering of the Future cluster at #fallingwallsventure #sciencesummit23 in Berlin. Being one of the 25 global start-ups selected to pitch at Falling Walls Venture was an incredible experience. Special thanks to our CTO, Christian Freier, who gave an excellent pitch, The Australian National University for the nomination and the Falling Walls Foundation for the opportunity to be a part of this amazing program. Congratulations to all the other participants and winners! This win is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team at Nomad Atomics. We're excited about the future and committed to pushing boundaries in engineering for a better tomorrow! #innovation #fallingwalls23 #quantumsensing #engineering

We had a fantastic 3 days at #indopac2023 this week progressing discussions with current connections and forging new relationships within all parts of the defence ecosystem. It was exciting to see high levels of interest in quantum technologies within Defence, industry and government. We had many insightful discussions about the quantum strategies currently in development and areas where sovereign quantum technologies have the potential to provide an asymmetric advantage for Australia and our partners. We look forward to continuing our conversations with everyone we connected with and delving deeper into use cases to inform the development of our high-precision, drift-free quantum sensors for the defence sector. #indopacific2023 #defenceindustry #sovereigncapability #defencetechnology #quantumsensing #innovation

We are incredibly proud that Nomad Atomics and our co-founders Kyle Hardman, Paul Wigley and Christian Freier, have been included in The 2023 Australian Top 100 Innovators List! Thank you to The List: Top 100 Innovators for the recognition. We are honoured to be considered part of "the most wild, provocative, ambitious things happening right now across our labs, offices and classrooms, and the people bold enough to try them" (David Swan, editor, The List: Innovators 2023). Congratulations to all of the amazing people and companies on the list who are driving Australian innovation. #innovation #quantumsensing #quantumtechnologies https://lnkd.in/gtqzx6yF
