March 8 is International Women's Day and this year’s theme is “Count Her In".   Count Her In: Accelerating gender equality through economic empowerment.   Observed for the first time in 1911, International Women's Day aims to highlight and recognise the achievements of women in different spheres while also bringing attention to important issues including gender discrimination that exist even today.   The event celebrates women's achievements and raises awareness about women's equality and lobbies for accelerated gender parity. ✊   Continued focus on women's empowerment and equality, and their elevation to leadership, is a necessary part of finding solutions for our collective future.
