This role will work alongside Senior Ecologists and other Environmental Consultants in the field and office, conduct field research and surveys, complete data collation and reporting, and communicate with clients, subcontractors, and various other parties. This role will assist in defining the project scope and technical approaches and ensuring that quality products are being delivered to meet customer expectations. Key Attributes: 🌱 A Tertiary Qualification in Ecology, Biology, Zoology or Environmental Science. 🌱 Minimum 3 years’ experience within industry, consulting, or government. 🌱 Experience in a similar role with approvals, baseline study coordination, project management, technical report writing, and QGIS experience is highly desirable. 🌱 You will have high attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise and multitask whilst producing high-quality work. 🌱 Demonstrated expertise in ecological surveys, particularly in botanical studies and reporting. 🌱 Strong knowledge of Queensland flora and fauna, with skills in Flora/Fauna survey methodologies, field research & surveying, assessments, monitoring, analysis & implementation of plans. 🌱 Familiarity with Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) requirements in Queensland, particularly related to ecology. 🌱 Working knowledge of Queensland and Commonwealth environmental legislation. 🌱 Highly motivated with energy, passion and drive. 🌱 Willingness to work in the field (away from home) which can include long days, and sometimes challenging terrain. 🌱 Minimum C class licence (4wd experience preferred but not essential). 🌱 Great communication skills set with the ability to collaborate with teammates to resolve complex issues. 🌱 A highly motivated can-do work ethic, with passion and drive, and 🌱 A strong commitment to safety and adherence to safe work practices.
