Yumi's Quality Foods

The countdown is on! As the Australian Dolphins head off to Paris, we’ve been reflecting on what a great experience we had at the Australian Swimming Trials in Brisbane. We were so proud to be part of the event and to have the opportunity to invite everyone there to ‘take a dip’ with Yumi’s delicious hommus & cracker pack. A big thank you to our sampling super stars, Susan Booker (Challinger), Melanie Penna and Tracey Schubert for sharing the Yumi's hommus love. Beyond that, we were thrilled to have the opportunity to be part of the fun inside the venue with loads of fans taking the opportunity to make a Yumi’s sign to support their favourite swimmer, as well as a lucky few getting a chance to play a game of Falafel Basketball!  It has been a team effort to bring our sponsorship of the Australian Dolphins to life in such a fun and effective way, and we couldn’t have done it without the incredible Swimming Australia team of Blake Moffatt, Tom Cusack and Jodie Hawkins.  Thank you to you all. We are thrilled to invite Australians to “take a dip” to celebrate our new sponsorship of Swimmimg Australia! And we’ll all be proudly cheering the Dolphins on in Paris later this year.

And our Stop for Safety Day winners are.... the "Victorious Veggies" and the "Baba Ganoush Bandits"!   We recently shut our entire site down (no deliveries, production, maintenance or office work) to focus solely on ensuring that everyone at Yumi's is safe at work every day. We formed teams that experienced a jam packed day of exciting activities including The Great Hazard Hunt, Hazards of the Century Gameshow, Fire Extinguisher and Evacuation Education, Food Safety & Quality Workshop and a Manual Handling session run by physiotherapists. As they went to each station, the teams competed for Danger Dollars to put in their "Safe" (see what we did there?) by answering quizzes, brainstorming ideas and getting involved.   It was an incredible day that clearly delivered the message that everyone being safe at work is the most important thing to us at Yumi's.
