Doug Stuart is an Australian executive and entrepreneur in the cyber security, cloud computing and critical infrastructure industries. He has extensive experience building technology companies, capabilities and quality assured programmes, teams and services.
Doug is a co-founder and the Chief Operating Officer at Instaclustr, a company providing managed solutions, support and consulting services for open source big data technologies. Instaclustr is backed by Bailador, ANU Connect Ventures and Our Innovation Fund, leading Australian venture capital firms.
Prior to Instaclustr, Doug was a co-founder of Stratsec, a world-class, highly awarded and recognised cyber security consulting, testing and research firm, which was acquired by BAE Systems in 2011. Stratsec was awarded Telstra Business of the Year in 2010. Doug has also been recognised as a leading entrepreneur in the industry through the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Program in 2010.
Doug obtained an Associate Diploma of Electronics Engineering from Canberra Institute of Technology in 1991 and a Master of Business Administration (Information Technology) from Charles Sturt University in 2013.
