I'm a Machine Learning engineer, Computer Vision engineer, image/video processing engineer, software tech lead, and ex startup founder.
I'm passionate about Machine Learning, Computer Vision, user-interaction design & ergonomics, customer experience, and early-stage startup success (especially finding Product-Market Fit & Product-Channel Fit).
I enjoy building user-friendly software that helps our users achieve their goals quickly and easily. I also enjoy talking to customers to understand their work, their workflows, their problems, and their ideas about what can be improved and how.
I've founded AI/ML tech startups, worked as a lead developer (software tech lead), managed teams of programmers, and worked closely with customers to understand their needs and design the product accordingly.

- machine learning (mainly PyTorch, FastAI, and YOLO)
- computer vision (mainly Conv-Nets) for image segmentation, object detection, classification
- digital image/video processing (mainly Numpy & OpenCV)
- content-based image retrieval
- coding (particularly Python, C++, C)

- managing teams of programmers

- applying machine learning to solve problems (especially in health & safety)
- automating complex or time-consuming human workflows
- finding the simplest user-interface to achieve a goal easily & efficiently
- streamlining inefficient human workflows by re-evaluating assumptions
- optimizing inefficient software by using smarter algorithms & data-structures
- user-interaction design in graphical or command-line interfaces
- programming language design (especially ownership & thread-safety)
- ergonomic keyboards, pointing devices, and keyboard layouts beyond DVORAK
