I have over 38 years experience in the packaging industry starting out as a service engineer then progressing through the ranks into senior operational and business leadership roles in international organisations. I have many years of P&L responsibility and business turnaround success, obtained in challenging and diverse environments across Europe and Australasia. Whilst being a results-orientated leader with a flair for creating innovative solutions for a business I also ensure the focus on the rigour of core activities, with a leadership style centred on a hands-on approach and open communication. Additionally, I have been actively engaged in three major acquisitions, each as a target/selling business, retained in my existing role as a senior leader, ensuring a smooth successful transition and executing an ongoing forward development path.
Aligned with my primary business employment I have always been engaged in local and regional trade association activity, having held Chairman and President roles, reflecting my commitment to the packaging industry sectors I have been working within and the recognition of my peers.

Aerosols Association of Australia
President
-Was appointed President of Aerosol Association of Australia, a key industry body. During my 2 year tenure we held a major industry event in Sydney in 2014 which had an international audience. I had been on the Executive Committee since 2011 and remained on it as Chair the PR & Marketing working group until I left Jamestrong Packaging in October 2017.

-I had been on the Executive committee of the MPMA for a number of years and was asked in 2009 to become the Chairman. The MPMA is a UK based association representing the Metal Packaging industry.

BAMA - British Aerosols Manufacturers Association

-BAMA is a UK based trade association representing the aerosol industry with a broad membership of local industry players as well as multi nationals such as Unilever & Reckitt Benckiser. I had been on the Executive Committee of BAMA for a number of years and in 2006 was asked to become Chairman. During my tenure we held an international aerosols event in Manchester.
