Bridgestone EMEA Manufacturing has achieved our goal of halving CO2 emissions – seven years ahead of schedule! Our manufacturing plants reduced their total CO2 emissions by 66% from our 2011 baseline to the end of 2023, according to the results of an independently verified Carbon Footprint assessment. Our ultimate aim is carbon neutrality (Scope 1 & 2) by 2050, and this is another major step on the road to that goal as we help shape a more sustainable future for all.

Bridgestone believes in the power of sport to have a positive and lasting impact, especially for younger athletes and those with disabilities. As a Worldwide Paralympic Partner, we’ve been working both globally and locally to help create more equitable access and make sport more inclusive. For the Paralympic Games Paris 2024, we are expanding those efforts by leveraging our tyre material and design expertise to enhance rubber components for certain adaptive sports equipment. Through collaboration with Team Bridgestone athlete ambassadors, Bridgestone has produced rubber glove pads, hand rim covers, wheelchair tennis tyres, and more that will be used in various sports in Paris. https://lnkd.in/eu747tGy

We’re happy to share that Bridgestone has been chosen by Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. as their exclusive tyre partner for the new Lamborghini Temerario super sportscar. As Lamborghini’s ‘Official Technical Partner’, we've custom-engineered three tyre fitments for the new Lamborghini Temerario, helping the Hybrid High Performance Electrified Vehicle (HPEV) achieve its best performance on and off the track, as well as in tough winter conditions. Bridgestone has delivered bespoke Potenza Sport and Potenza Race tyres for the Temerario’s summer and track fitments, and a custom-developed Blizzak LM005 tyre for its winter fitment to answer all drivers’ needs. All three premium tyres were developed using our proprietary Virtual Tyre Development technology for additional benefits in terms of sustainability and efficiency. Earlier this year, the Aspark SP600, with custom-engineered Bridgestone tyres, became the fastest electric vehicle in the world! Designed by Manifattura Automobili Torino, the electric hypercar hit a top speed of 438.7 kph on bespoke Bridgestone Potenza Race tyres, a unique fitment based on our flagship ultra-high performance tyre. For its record-breaking run, the prototype SP600 demanded tyres not only capable of reaching such a high speed, but also able to handle the specific demands of the Aspark’s vehicle weight and driving dynamics. With a pattern application that maximises high speed performance, this unique Potenza Race tyre also provided the safety and robustness required for a new EV world record. As we work to advance a new era of sustainable motorsports, this was another brilliant milestone. Congratulations to all the teams involved!

Bridgestone was proud to help keep the two-wheeled vehicle fleet in motion throughout the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024. A fleet of motorcycles provided by Toyota featuring thermal, hybrid, fully-electric and even prototype hydrogen-powered technology helped to reduce carbon emissions during the Marathon Pour Tous and other road events – and all on our high-performing Bridgestone Battlax motorcycle tyres.

Last year, 14 interns joined our R&D Centre in Rome as part of our Women in Tech programme. The 500+ hour programme was filled with training, experiences, visits, and unwavering support from 80 volunteer colleagues.
