Last week, we warmly welcomed a new group of Young Graduates who are ready to kick-start their career at Unilin. Our CEO, Wim Messiaen, initiated their journey with an inspiring introduction about our purpose and values, followed by an engaging Q&A session. We offer these young talents an environment where they can learn, discover, and grow, while their fresh perspectives will help us stay at the forefront of innovation. Developing talent is one of the key drivers of our success. We're excited to see what these new team members will bring to the future of Unilin. Welcome to all of you!

Improving the recyclability of our products is important, but if we want to make sure that they are effectively recycled, we need to ensure that they are retrieved end-of-life. Over the last several years, we organised multiple successful take-back programs with our partners and clients for chipboards, MDF boards, vinyl floors and PIR insulation boards. And we keep expanding our ‘Recover’ program in all product categories.

At Unilin, we recycle wood until it can't be recycled anymore. But, even then, we have a sustainable solution: non-recyclable wood is converted into sustainable energy in our own sustainable-energy powerplants which we run together with Aspiravi.

The wood in our chipboards is already made up of 95% recycled wood. And we are able to recycle those chipboards ourselves again. This way, we close the loop, says Caroline Van de Populiere.

Recycling 1 million tonnes of waste wood each year is no easy feat. We transform what would otherwise be incinerated into a high-quality raw material.
