This summer, we had the pleasure of working with our first Martello Re interns in the Charlotte office. We’re proud of the excellent work they’ve accomplished during their time with us and would like to thank them for bringing their unique talents to our Investments, Actuarial, and Technology teams. We can’t wait to see what else you accomplish in the future!

Thank you so much to the team at Martello Re for packing and donating 48 book bags filled with school supplies for our program children. These will go out this week and next so every kid in our program is set up to start the school year with success! Thank you!

This week, actuaries from Martello Re’s Bermuda team hosted an educational event for student members of Actuaries of Bermuda (AOB) The team shared their unique career stories, their advice around actuarial exams and internships, and insights into the day-to-day work of an actuary. Thank you so much for joining us, and it was great getting to meet and network with you all. We hope that your interest in actuarial sciences leads to many great opportunities in the future.

Martello Re was honored to support two successful educational initiatives at West Pembroke Primary School this academic year for Q2/2024. For our first initiative, we sponsored their first-ever SPLASH program, a five-day program that taught students essential swimming and water safety skills. Our second initiative included Martello Re Bermuda employees partnering with Keep Bermuda Beautiful (KBB) to provide West Pembroke Primary students with trash and recycling bags, gloves, and litter grabbers at their quarterly Clean-Up Day. The students and their Martello Re chaperones picked up trash and recyclable items at Spanish Point Park. Thanks again to West Pembroke Primary School for giving us the opportunity to support them. We’re growing! Martello Re has launched our inaugural summer internship program, and we’re pleased to welcome four interns to our Investment, Actuarial, and Technology teams. Our program will provide a range of professional experiences from long-term projects that target core competencies to networking across departments and teams. We’re excited to take part in the development of our future reinsurance industry professionals.
