When trad-racks were homemade and chest harnesses were commonplace, a CBC set-designer stumbled upon a never-before-climbed roof in Val-David, Quebec. Craning his neck to the sky, Bernard Poisson eyed a route that split the roof’s core, a radically overhung style of climbing that was inconceivable at the time. But when ingenuity met passion on a hot summer day in 1958, a new route was etched into climbing history. Le Toit De Ben is now available to watch on our YouTube channel.

We’re still buzzing over our partnership with Jordan Cannon for Queer Ascent in Truckee, California from May 31 – June 2. This event evolved from Jordan’s involvement with Arc’teryx Climb Academy, growing into a powerful gathering that connected and empowered the 2SLGBTQIA+ community. The event brought together climbers of all skill levels, to celebrate celebrating inclusivity and education at the start of Pride Month. Jordan’s vision united people, fostering a supportive and uplifting environment focused on community and togetherness. “At the end of the day, whatever makes you the happiest and is the most fun is all that matters.” - Jordan Cannon Photos and content shot by Victoria Wells.

Our doors in Bloor Street are officially open. Fully equipped with a ReBIRD Service Centre that offers product support, education, care, and repair through our talented Repair Operators onsite - keeping the good in play.
The newest Arc’teryx store has just opened in Toronto, located at 50 Bloor West. I was lucky enough to be at the opening and see what it takes to get a store over the finish line. The energy and teamwork was inspiring! The store looks spectacular and makes me incredibly happy to see what true teamwork can deliver.

From rubbish to resource, a tent was assembled from 137 unrepairable jackets. Exploring the possibilities of circularity, Michelle Parker, Elena Hight, Spencer O’Brien, Lucy Sackbauer, Robin Van Gyn, and Tatum Monod take the tent on a winter journey in its new form, creating their own memories and moments with its walls.
Here’s to Spencer O’Brien, Michelle Parker, Robin Van Gyn, Tatum Monod, Lucy Sackbauer, and Elena Hight – an incredible group of Arc’teryx athletes who came together to create the film: Continuum. Exploring the possibilities of circularity, while crushing boundaries and challenging expectations – I am left, once again, awe-inspired by the creativity and talent of our collective.

Crampon snags, icy wipeouts, a pesky alder field, or some particularly sharp granite, we’ve all been there. At Arc’teryx, we design products built to withstand whatever the mountains are throwing at them - but sometimes even the best jackets suffer a tear. That’s why we’re proud to introduce the SV Insert Patch, a seamless, fully waterproof solution to help you keep the good in play.
The ReBIRD team focuses on leveraging both existing repair solutions and also is deeply focused on creating new innovation to support the longevity of Arc’teryx products. Introducing the Arc'teryx Equipment SV Insert Patch, adding another amazing repair solution to support abrasions. These patches, as well as those for our Cerium and Atom, are available at our ReBIRD Service Center locations and take under 15 minutes to apply. #arcteryx #rebird https://lnkd.in/dmT8Vnhn

Tonje Kvivik's journey from a teenage ski bum to an award-winning pro athlete is a story of following intuition and embracing unexpected opportunities.
“I’ve never been too much of a fan of the comfort zone anyway.” We welcomed Tonje Kvivik to our Arc’teryx athlete team in February, an award-winning pro athlete who attributes her success to pursuing passions, finding like-minded friends, and having fun while pushing boundaries. I invite you to read Tonje’s incredible story on Arc’teryx’s blog, Lithographica.
