Earlier this week modular homes were delivered to a remote Métis community near Alberta's oil sands operations. They are part of a year’s long effort by Cenovus to address an ongoing issue. Indigenous leaders have told us a lack of housing is one of the most urgent issues facing their communities. In response, we launched our Indigenous Housing Initiative to help address this challenge in the six communities closest to our Christina Lake and Foster Creek oil sands operations. Last week we announced a $2.5 million investment in Saskatchewan Polytechnic Time to Rise campaign. This investment will improve job and career readiness, provide innovative skills training and enhance professional network development for young people throughout the region. We’re investing $2.5 million in Saskatchewan Polytechnic's Time to Rise campaign, aimed at funding the construction of the school’s new Saskatoon campus. As part of this investment, the new centralized chemical technology lab, power engineering lab and instrumentation engineering lab will be named the Cenovus Energy Labs! This modern learning environment will include advanced technology and equipment within a state-of-the-art facility, providing students with the hands-on training they’ll need to succeed in our ever-evolving industry.
