“SEO is all about grunt work”. Wrong.
TL;DR : Use gumloop and other automation tools to automate all the grunt work of SEO.
About ~3 week back, I started working on SEO as part of our acquisition strategy.
We had already seen success with other channels — Google Workspace Marketplace, Product Hunt, and HubSpot Marketplace — achieving double-digit growth since we started experimenting there. Naturally, SEO seemed like the next logical step.
2 weeks into it — there was much more laborious work than I expected.
We internally started experimenting with 3-4 different automation tools to automate all the grunt work and one tool, Gumloop stood out for us. Here are some things we are already building with Gumloop (YC W24) - all without any dev time.
1. Building content outline
Flow: For a specific location (e.g., US), automate a web search for a set of keywords (e.g., “Google Sheets connector”) → scrape the top 5 results [-reddit, -forums] → extract their outlines + Google-suggested questions → pass the data to an AI model → generate a new outline that satisfies user intent.
2. Using AI for clustering keywords and optimise current content (Gumloop already have a template for it)
3. Building visual topical structure of all competitive website based on their sitemaps.
4. Identifying the keywords and locations where our competitors are running ads.
Flow : Input all target locations and keywords into Google Sheets → scrape top sponsored results in these countries → generate a list of competitor ads.
There are still so many things you can automate with it. If you have new ideas or want to explore ours, feel free to connect.
P.S : We still write content manually because that’s the one step humans should do.

While Gumloop is a great tool for combining different automation agents, Superjoin can help you automate your entire spreadsheet workflow. Check us out—I’m sure growth teams will love it.
