Robotics to Rescue Food

Über uns

It’s not every day we waste half of our food… oh wait, yes it is. But we are here to change that. At Trendi, we are using robotics, upcycling and social change to combat excess and unnecessary waste of misfit food from farms, cuttings from processors, waste from retailers and even the waste we produce in our own homes. Wasting food is expensive not just in dollars and resources but also in emissions, and hungry stomachs. With over 2.5 billion tonnes of food going to waste (contributing to 10% of emissions) and over 800 million facing food insecurity around the globe, something needs to be done! We can all do a better job of preventing waste, and we’d like to invite you to join us in our mission. Are you a food producer, processor or retailer who wants to learn more about how to reduce food loss and related costs? Reach out, we'd love to talk. Create Happi sustainable, autonomous systems for communities, providing water, food, and energy. I reject conformity and criminalize greed. My mission: challenge the status quo, prioritize community and sustainability.

Said the Many to the Few…A story of irony As the Few continued to manipulate and control the food supply, they also started to dictate the narrative around what constituted 'good' food and 'bad' food. They cleverly marketed processed, unhealthy foods as convenient and desirable, while fresh, natural produce was branded as expensive and elitist. The irony was stark; those with money could afford to eat healthy but often chose convenience, while those without money, who had the time to prepare food from scratch, could not afford the healthy ingredients. The Few profited immensely from this system, creating a vicious cycle of poor health and environmental degradation. The economy, too, was affected, as the cost of healthcare soared and the planet’s resources were depleted at an alarming rate. Society was divided, with the wealthy becoming disconnected from the reality of food production and the less fortunate left to bear the brunt of the consequences. “And so, the Few continued to exploit, while the Many suffered,” said the narrator, painting a grim picture of the state of the world. “But what the Few didn’t realize was that their actions were unsustainable, and that eventually, the planet would reach a breaking point.” The narrator paused, allowing the gravity of the situation to sink in. “You see, the health of our people and our planet is interconnected. When we treat our planet poorly, we are also treating ourselves poorly. And when we feed ourselves unhealthy food, we are damaging the planet in return.” The Many, realizing the power they held, decided to take a stand. “No more!” they exclaimed. “We refuse to be a part of this destructive cycle any longer. We demand access to healthy, affordable food, and we demand a food system that is sustainable and fair.” The Few, taken aback by the sudden uprising, realized that they could no longer maintain their grip on the food supply. Slowly but surely, the balance began to shift, and the Many started to reclaim control over their food and their health. And as the narrator concluded the story, they left the audience with a powerful message: “The irony of our food system is a reflection of the choices we make as a society. But it is never too late to change course and create a world where everyone has access to healthy food and a healthy planet. The power is in our hands.” The story ended, but the message resonated, leaving a lasting impact on all who heard it.
