Currently I am the co-founder and CEO of AuditSoft Inc., which is a NextGen innovation in OHS management system audit software design and application; and SafetyVantage Inc., which specializes in online occupational health and safety learning solutions.

I am the Founder of eCompliance Management Solutions Inc. (eCompliance) which was founded in 2006 and of which I sold the majority stake and successfully exited in 2014.

I have held senior positions in large, multi-national organizations in Canada and South Africa. My expertise includes spearheading mission-critical national and international projects, strategic planning, overseeing tactical implementation, building high-performing executive teams, cultivating key stakeholder relationships, creating financial reporting processes, negotiating vendor contracts, and optimizing operational costs.

A true entrepreneur, my start-up experience encompasses the complete business lifecycle from raising capital to working with Boards of Directors. My interest is Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) based companies. I founded and sold eCompliance Management Solutions, a SaaS company which specializes in cloud based occupational health and safety solutions. I also co-founded ComplyWorks Africa, which provides contractor management and supply-chain solutions for mining companies in Sub-Saharan Africa; and serve on the board of directors.

A common thread running throughout my career has been my ability to develop strategic plans to transform underperforming operations, start new businesses, or achieve rapid growth for existing companies. In each case, I worked with key stakeholders to develop a strategic plan—and then led the tactical execution of that plan. One of the most enjoyable aspects of my work is identifying root problems and translating those problems into manageable action items.

I hold business degree (B.Comm), a postgraduate law degree (LLB), an MBA and an advanced Taxation Certificate. I am admitted as an Attorney at Law to the Supreme Court of South Africa. I have authored papers and articles and serve as a frequent speaker at conferences on operational risk management, auditing, learning, technology, and continuous improvement. I believe in life long learning and continually educate myself ensure to ensure knowledge and skills remain relevant.

The Venture Mentoring Service of Alberta strongly believes that entrepreneurs that are matched with experienced entrepreneurs are more likely to succeed.
