A home in rural Linn County was destroyed after flames erupted during the overnight hours. First responders were called to the home at 5289 Serenity Ln northwest of Central City, along the Wapsipinicon River just before midnight Saturday.

When crews arrived, the home was already engulfed in flames. The home and everything inside were destroyed. No one was hurt and the cause of the fire is now under investigation.
