Linn County Sheriff Brian Gardener tells Iowa's News Now three people are dead and one person has been sent to the hospital with critical injuries after an incident in north of Robins in rural Linn County.

The sheriff says there is no danger to the public.

Iowa's News Now is still tracking the large emergency response to an outbuilding in the area where the four people were found, but Sheriff Gardener says they're still investigating to figure out what happened.

Crews were called to the scene at the 3600 block of East Otter Road shortly before 4 p.m. on Wednesday.

Caution tape could be seen at the end of the driveway, nearly a dozen emergency vehicles were on scene, and one person on stretcher was taken from the scene by air-evac helicopter.

This is a developing story and Iowa's News Now will provide updates as more information becomes available, but authorities say it may take a while to get an update.
