I-380 southbound on/off ramps at Wilson Avenue closed due to semi fire in Cedar Rapids

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KGAN) — The I-380 southbound on and off ramps at Wilson Avenue will be closed until Friday afternoon after a semi fire.

The semi caught fire near theintersection of L St SW & Wilson Ave SW Friday morning in Cedar Rapids.

The semi fire was put out around 10 a.m., but boxes were being taken out of the truck to get any smoldering materials.

Cedar Rapids police said the closure will last into the afternoon and they will provide additional updates.

This will affect those exiting I-380 at Wilson and the on-ramp.
