Mount Mercy holds hybrid graduation Sunday May 16

Mount Mercy University will hold Commencement on Sunday, May 16 at the Alliant Energy PowerHouse and via livestream on Mount Mercy’s YouTube channel.

Graduating students and returning 2020 graduates will be divided into four smaller ceremonies to ensure the safety of all in attendance. Masks and social distancing will be required. Degrees will be conferred upon approximately 380 undergraduate students and 160 graduate students.

Selected student speakers include, Alexandra Diersen of Solon, Melinda Brown of Marion, Samuel Meyers of Cedar Rapids, and Veronica Jons of Walker

Friday, May 14:

  • Virtual Honors Convocation | 4 p.m.

Sunday, May 16

  • Virtual Commencement Mass | 8 a.m.
  • Commencement Ceremony | 9 a.m.PhD-MFT, MACJ, MAEd, MBA, MFT & MSL Graduates, Class of 2020 Graduates
  • Commencement Ceremony | 11 a.m. BA, BBA & BS Graduates—Business & Education
  • Commencement Ceremony | 1 p.m.BA & BS Graduates—All Other Majors
  • Commencement Ceremony & Nursing Pinning | 3 p.m.DNP, MSN, Health Care, BSN & RN-BSN Graduates and Martin-Herold College of Nursing & Health
