No one hurt after RV catches fire in Coralville Thursday morning

CORALVILLE, Iowa (KGAN) — An RV and pickup truck were totaled after a fire in Coralville on Thursday morning.

The Coralville Fire Department responded to the fire at 1st Avenue and 9th Street around 9 a.m.

An RV and pickup truck that it was towing were on fire and crews closed 1st Avenue while they worked to put it out. With the assistance of the Coralville Police Department, the road was re-opened quickly and traffic wasn't heavily impacted.

The four people inside were able to get out safely on their own and were not hurt. Both vehicles are considered a total loss.

The fire has been ruled accidental and the cause is still under investigation.
