Linn-Mar loses in shutout to Valley, falling short of first State tournament victory

DES MOINES, Iowa — Playing in their 9th ever State tournament, Linn-Mar leaves Des Moines without its first ever win at the state's biggest stage. The Lions lost to West Des Moines Valley 2-0 in Tuesday's 3A quarterfinals.

The Lions are now 0-9 all time at State. They had come into the tournament on a 10-game win streak in 2024.
