About the Program

The early years of a child’s life are a time of tremendous adventure and unmatched developmental growth. Early childhood is filled with discovery, change, love, challenges, and a wide range of powerful emotions for children and parents! This period of life is a critical time for creating a strong foundation for positive emotional/behavioral functioning and mental health. 

This interactive workshop for parents/caregivers focuses on ways to nurture your young child’s positive social-emotional development and lay the foundation for a bright future. In this empowering workshop, you will gain insights, tools, and confidence to help you on the journey of parenting your young child. 

Who 

Designed for parents and caregivers of children ages 0-6 

What are the Program Benefits? 

The Early Childhood Workshop offers a crash course in understanding the development of your young children and ways that you can promote their healthy growth. 

You will learn about:

  • Parent-child attachment and how you can nurture healthy attachment relationships with your child 
  • Social-emotional development in young children 
  • Discovering your child’s unique personality 
  • How to help your child develop emotional literacy 

  • Ways to respond to tantrums and common challenging behaviors 
  • Positive strategies and concrete skills for fostering positive interactions and teaching appropriate behavior 
  • Parenting styles and associated outcomes for children 
  • Exploring your parenting values, beliefs, strengths, and areas for growth 

When 

The 2-part workshop is held on two consecutive Saturday mornings 

  • Saturday, August 3, 2024, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM 
  • Saturday, August 10, 2024, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

Cost 

  • $600 one parent/caregiver
  • $700 two parent/caregivers from same caregiving team
