Josef Opitz

I protest, that you deleated portrait photo of Josef Opitz at my article. I have copyright for it, I published it as illustration of my article (Dana Stehlíková: Josef Opitz v Národním muzeu 1941 - 1945, in: Josef Opitz a umění na Chomutovsku a Kadaňsku 1350–1590. Sborník, eds. Renáta Gubíková — Markéta Prontekerová, s. 55-84. ISBN: 978-80-87898-11-6., all other internet users copyied my photo, but it is only a detail from larger photo of halfigure. Permission to use figure in a book.

Dear Siebrand,

I am working with Prof. Steven LaValle to help obtain permissions for borrowing figures or pictures in his upcoming book Virtual Reality, to be published by Cambridge University Press. The book is online here:

Problem with your DelinkerBot

Hello Siebrand. Could you please explain this action of your bot on a featured article? The file wasn't deleted on commons and the note written by the bot is actually mistaken. There are some worried users on it.wiki (because the bot is pretty active and it would be a very time consuming action to check every edit). @Jeff G.: It looks like a work where it was scanned double-sided, though the work was single-sided pages. So there was a bot replacement of the large images with a 1x1 image. The images still seem pertinent in that they are used in the run of images linking serially, so simply deleting the images may not be the means to progress. We need to nut out the issue, and look to the best means resolve. At the minute having 1x1 pixels is an easy solution and doesn't break the work, so it should stand rather than simply deleting for the sake of tidiness.  — billinghurst sDrewth 02:11, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
