Info Due to the presence of the front row of chior stalls, it is not possible to show both the details on the misericord and the floor. Martinvl (talk) 20:16, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Kommentar Must connect the scope to the category or gallery that contains the image. It would be better to specify Electric pylons in the Drôme seen from the Chem. des Joncs, Pierrelatte..--Pierre André (talk)10:08, 28 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Kommentar It's a real dilemma: do we have the right to change the title displayed by the museum? Sometimes it's tempting. But I resist and give the "official" title.--Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 17:43, 29 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Reason:
Scilla painted two portraits of Epicurus.[1] Both are oil in canvas paintings and located in private collections, so I included the size on scope. --Thi (talk) 09:55, 31 July 2024 (UTC) -- Thi (talk)[reply]
Scope: Detail of the monumental work of art Deltawerk // Waterloopbos, formerly Delta Flume. (artists RAAAF en Atelier de Lyon). Space between 2 walls, horizontally connected. We are looking at the northeast.
Kommentar It is advisable to put the place of exhibition in the scope and perhaps the inventory number, because there are many "portraits of men" by Messina and the scope must be unique. ----Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 05:15, 31 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Kommentar Please note that there are two tables of the same subject with the same title by the same author and the same year. In this case; the collection number must be added so that the scope is acceptable. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 05:04, 2 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I added the info available in the Louvre website,[2] please, let me know if its correct.
Kommentar Look at how other competitors build their scope. You have to pay attention to the syntax. But above all you have to connect the scope to the category that contains the image. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 04:34, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Kommentar Thank you for the hint, I made a bit more precise scope. The arial view shows the whole village and is made from standpoint in the east, view direction west. --J. Lunau (talk) 12:13, 1 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please notify previous voters of this change. Remember: "A support vote that was made before a change of scope is not counted unless it is reconfirmed afterwards; an oppose vote is counted unless it is changed or withdrawn".
Kommentar The scope is not great. There is a typo, the author's name is missing, only the museum name is required (Department of Paintings) is not useful. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 04:41, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's the opposite: there's been no noise reduction in postprod and the texture of the paint and brushstrokes are much more visible, on faces for example, where we can see indeed lot of noise in the candidate image. Shonagon (talk) 22:26, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I wanted to put this comparison side by side so you can see that the one on the left, your proposal, looks cleaner and smoother with softer colors due to the noise removal and coloring algorithm of the camera, while the one on the right shows stronger colors and more textures in the upper part of the painting, as you see more details you also see more imperfections in the canvas but it is also somewhat more real. --Wilfredor (talk) 23:13, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Another comparison. Yes It's a question of taste. On the right we can see the canvas and a lit bit more details but there is more noise. The colors should not be too strong, because there are not like that in the painting and plus it can be an issue for other uses. On the left we can see the Delacroix's soft tones that the restoration has reveleaded, and the subtil red of the lips.
By the way, the 2 images could be improved: the one on left needs more unsharp mask (done for this detail), and for the one on right, the ratio width/height was not corrected after perspective correction (the width is too small or the height too large, cf.: https://collections.louvre.fr/ark:/53355/cl010065870 )
The photos were taken almost a week apart, are you sure there was such a quick restoration? I didn't know that the proposal was actually a photo taken by you, otherwise I would have been more respectful with the comments. Thanks for share your picture Wilfredor (talk) 02:03, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Both photos are of the painting after restoration and in both photos we can see the dominance of cold colors and many details. You made several photos in Louvre that replace previous pictures (I love so much this one which is fantastic and moves me a lot), including some that I took, and that are really much better. Thank you and there is absolutly no offense. For this one, I sincerly prefer the photo I took for the reasons given. Best regards --Shonagon (talk) 02:32, 8 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
All open candidates in an MVR have to have their status set as "discussed" while the review is ongoing. Only when all candidates are due for closure can the MVR be closed.
