Commons:Deletion requests/Зоря (часопис)
Page was placed to speedy deletion as "Out of scope" by User:Motopark. I'm not agree, it is NOT out of scope. I've created it using New York Times as template. It storing scan files / images for Wikisources and Wikipedia related with Зоря.
I've followed *instructions* and replaced "speedy deletion" by "slow deletion" but User:Motopark moving it to "speedy deletion" again.Artem.komisarenko (talk) 12:31, 15 November 2015 (UTC)
Löschen It's not a templae, it's gallery and empty galleries shall be deleted.--Motopark (talk) 12:46, 15 November 2015 (UTC)
- Not as [Template:], but as "template", "pattern", "example", "sample". Do I understand correctly that only I have to do is add images to gallery? OK. It's not big deal, you could ask me on my Talk page. Why immediately placed it to speedy deletion? Artem.komisarenko (talk) 12:50, 15 November 2015 (UTC)
User:Motopark, he means "template" in the sense of "example" or "pattern", not in our technical sense. I think he's creating a gallery of images related to Зоря which should be OK.
Artem.komisarenko, we delete empty galleries on sight because almost all of them are mistakes. When you create a new gallery, do one of three things -- (a) add at least two images immediately, (b) add the template {{Under construction}} and then remove it when you are done, or (c) add a note at the top that you are working on it. A "Template" is a particular construction used for adding content to a page without typing all of it -- {{Under construction}} is a good example of one -- that's where the confusion came from. .
